Lewis was better. Better defender. But I guess they have some similarities. Once Bird retired the Celtics were going to be his team and his scoring average would have increased.

When I look at Butler's game, He's basically a 20 points-5 dimes-5 rebound All Star with great defense. At Reggie's peak, he was indeed similar to that kind of thing. So basically u have swingmen who have GREAT DEFENSE but are GOOD to VERY GOOD when it comes to scoring, rebounding, and passing. So because of those factors, I can see the comparison.
Butler is about 20-25 pounds bigger than Lewis was. But I think Lewis was the more polished scorer. At the time he passed, I really thought he was about to take his game to the next level. He could have possibly been the 3rd best SG in that era behind MJ and Drexler.
