I want to get a different type of haircut but not sure what hairstyle I can pull off. How do you go about trying to figure out hairstyle? I want to look like a badass ninja assassin
I tried to find websites on google where you can insert your picture and try different virtual hairstyles. No luck finding such a site. Can't believe nobody has come up with it. :confusedshrug:

I got the cmbover like 10 years ago bc i wanted to fool my parents into thinking i was a studious young man that was not into bad stuff. Eventually my barber suggested i couple a fade on the sides, then that transitioned into a fade with some skin. Now everyone rocks that hairstyle.

I just try what looks good. Fauxhawk w/ sides non-shaven always seemed to work for me.
When I'm just chilling / casual look -- I put up a messy look, then turn it on by putting the axe hair wax when going to big occasions/events.
As for a messy look, something similar to this in the front or bangs area:
https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/72/e5/62/72e562a6da98b636215bd845c1b4d6ac.jpg
I prefer going to a salon for a men's haircut nearby and ask them for advice. Be true to yourself & see what fits you the best, if you want to rock a macho look, then go to a barber shop, if you want to be flashy w/ your hairstyle then going to a salon would be best for you, I think. Just speaking from experience as I'm slowly going through a transition right now. I find myself ditching the whole fauxhawk & I might just keep it messy w/ perfectly aligned hairline next year.
I don't know the term, but I'm very systematic w/ how I deal with these things. I have certain ways of doing stuff when I'm in certain moods which also gets me excited when I actually do turn it on. ISH's Pauly D probably knows what I'm talking about.

If you're white
Go with a soft mullet like Billy Ray Cyrus
The trick to the mullet is for it to be tapered in length gradually longer at the back
Either that or go with a hockey long slickback
Try and avoid anything with long on top and short sides as that is all the rage right now
If you're black well then I'm not sure
The thug clean shave from the late 90's early 2000's is lowkey right now
Cornrows perhaps.. or is that still heavy in the ghetto scene
Just avoid that Duke starting 5 haircut.. Whatever that shit is called...
Perhaps get creative and get a cornrow-fade
Or a cornrow mullet or a Cornrow mohawk fade
Get nuts

Either combed back or parted on the side. If I'm looking to make a change I usually ask a hairdresser since idk wtf I'm doing or what products I should be using.

The hockey scene has some quality mullets these days
A strong tradition
I think what people need to realize is that undercut/fade type haircuts can be done just as bad as a mullet
It's all about balanced and letting it grow out as jasper said
I see so many people comfortably rocking buzz short on the sides, and slickback long on the top, and it just doesn't look as good as it could be
If you're going for a longer on the top style, you need to keep the length differential of the sides and top not crazy.. The best styles always have quality balance.
It's the difference between this;

Not exactly the same styles, but the principles of hair length gradient is clear
Dramatic hair length differential styles are too flamboyant/lesbian for my styles
Well in the case of a dramatic mullet, it's just full on trashy... But a good mullet, with less dramatic length differential and more natural flow... beautiful.

A slickback-mullet hybrid is about as good as it gets
And the best thing is, you can switch styles up into the slickback mullet with a pony tale
So much versatility

Patrick Bateman has GOAT level fashion. The power combos he pulled up with his suit/shirt/tie combo is on different level. Europeans can't touch his fashion sense.

It's hard for me because I have thick wavy hair. I usually just have to cut it short every 6 weeks with 2 on the sides and shorter on top, kind of like a 5 with more hair and combed over to the left.

The buzzcut/Shave goes well if you have a decent tan, strong hairline and strong lean facial features
It's a real natural masculine look
Even if your hairline is receeding, depending on how much, opt for the shave, get a tan, and pack some muscle on
The best thing if you have strong hair genetics is to change up styles every now and then

No fade
Just buzz/shave
Fades are just too in right now
It's the fuccboi national haircut
That and anything really short on the sides and long on top/top knot ******ry
My guideline: Don't get the same cut as everyone else
