I was just thinking about this. Roger Mason has had a solidified career. He stands head and shoulders against his competition. From his early days at Chicago to Toronto and then of course the Wizards. One constant was his consistent ability to score. Whether a jump shot or a drive and kick. Mason's a man. Also he can create shots out of thin air. His overall game was polished and the Spurs new it was special. So what are yours thoughts.

I currently have him 644th.

He's in the same ball park as PEAK Carlos Delfino I'd have to say

This is an outrage. Delfino never had the impact Mason had, especially in the playoffs. Nice regular season warrior, but when the going gets tough, Delfino is the first one to bail. Roger Mason led the 2014 Miami Heat all the way to the finals!

I'm sorry but the fact Mason couldn't get it done with such a STACKED support cast really impacts his positioning

When you're asked greatest team of all time you think

LeBron.Wade.Bosh.MASON

0/1

Mason had no help whatsoever, Wade was a no show for half the season. This shouldn't be a knock on him, as the Heat were the definite underdogs in that series. They had no business in even making the finals, because they were the two seed. Of course, the great Roger Mason then proceeded to beat the 1 seed Indiana, against all odds. That series was one for the ages.

We gonna sit here and act like he didn't have a season scoring 12 a game on 42% from three and 89% from the line?

Top 600 all time, easily.

And was in a time when the NBA wasn't as 3 happy as it is today. Does he have a case for the Hall of Fame? I'd say no, but if someone like Mitch Richmond gets in, Roger Mason is first ballot.

He is up there battling for the 652th spot with Arvesta Kelly.

I MIGHT think about putting him as high as 648th. I think I will focus on this during this weekend

Much appreciated if you'd do. You better come up with some solid reasons and names, because he is top 650 for sure. Denying that is blasphemous.

Look at this amazing sequence starting at 4:24, all set up by the great Roger Mason. Watch that and tell me he isn't one of the 700 greatest players ever.

Didn't watch. Mason was carried by Fabricio Oberto.

You did watch, otherwise you wouldn't know that that play occurred in his time with the Spurs.

He completely silenced that AAA that night. Such a clutch basket. That shows killer instinct, which other all-time greats lack.

Hakim the dream put up 12.7 PPG and 5.1 RPG on 52.4% in only 26.2 MPG in his sophomore season. Mason never reached that level of greatness.

In the 2011 playoffs Roger Mason had an offensive rating of 117. Dwyane Wade's peak offensive rating is 115. If Mason had a team build around him, I think he could do something similar to what Wade did in 2006. Only difference is Mason did have an outside shot.
