View Full Version : Why Wasn't Wade Good Enough To Lead Heat To Title in 2011?

Everyone talks about how great he played being single covered all series by 38 year old Jason Kidd. Why wasn't he able to get Miami over the hump? You know, like LeBron the next two seasons when they ran the offense through him full-time and suddenly won titles. Why wasn't he good enough to get Miami the title that year?

Because his sidekick completely wet the bed in the finals, most likely on purpose because he didn't want Wade to win the FMVP.

He needed help from the other stars in the series. Let's be real, I'm pretty sure every loss the Heat had were close games. Some of their stars were invisible. Dirk had a good series but he was not unstoppable like in previous rounds.

Lebron played like shit. forced Wade to yell at him. than Lebron played even shittier. but some blame does go on Wade. he shouldve known that verbally abusing an emotional midget like Lebron would only make the dude play worse

if only bron had raised his game from dog *hit level to at least dog piss level, the heat wouldve won.

Wade just wasn't that great of a player. Even when he held the ball for so long and was gunning for that fmvp trophy he came up short in many occasions. Obviously, by shunning out your teammates they're gonna play like crap.

Lebron is a primadonna. Cuban and Carlisle realized that if they featured Wade, Lebron would then be a jealous btch, become emo, and sit in the corner and ponder. Cuban tried it again with Westbrook but Westbrook isn't a btch and actually raised his level of play.

Funniest thing about that vid is how there are multiple instances of Wade getting doubled, and Lebron seeing single coverage, and doing nothing with it.
edit: not to mention all the wide open shots he bricked there.

LeBron had a lousy series.
Even so, games 2 (epic collapse by Miami) 4, and 5 were up for grabs going into the last minute or so. That's how close Miami was to winning even with Lebron averaging 9-10 points less (and was less efficient) than his usual average, including one of his worst games ever in game 4.
Lebron really screwed up in these finals.

Not only that, in those games you mentioned in the 4th quarters LeBron scored
Game 2: 2 points
Game 4: 0 points (took 1 shot)
Game 5: 2 points (on a conceded layup with the game out of reach)
To this day I don't understand what happened to him in that series

I never understood why lebron played so dam bad this series i mean I know some people choke and under perform but it was seriously bad. Even if the best player in the world dropped off it shouldnt have been this bad.
I even considered then idea of lebron throwing the games away. But it doesnt make financial sense. The chosen one was meant to dominate.

Why Wasn't Wade Good Enough To Lead Heat To Title in 2011?
Because he had a shitty 2nd option that only averaged 17 ppg on 48%.
That's still a better 2nd option than Jordan had his entire 2nd three-peat, since Pippen averaged 17 ppg on 40.8% for the 1996-1998 playoffs - only Jordan could win multiple rings with such poor performance from his 2nd option.
Pippen's performance included 15 ppg on 34% in 1996 Finals, the worst-ever performance for a 2nd option..
