Wondering how often that happens when a team steals Game 5 on the road and come home to close out the series and end up losing two in a row?
Anyone remember the last time this happened?

Spurs never went home with a 3-2 lead. Game 6 was in Miami.

Nets/Pistons in 2004
Remember in game 5 when Billups hit that halfcourt buzzer beater to send it to OT but the Nets still won the game?

In addition to the ones named above, here are some other, older off the top of my head:
Celtics-Hawks 1988
Knicks-Pacers 1994
Pistons-Cavs 2006

Damm learned something new today, never knew the Hawks stole a game in Boston. I see the Hawks lost Game 6 102-100 and wondering was it a last second shot by Bird or Dennis Johnson

This happened at least twice in 2014 alone--Pacers-Hawks and Thunder-Grizzlies. It's oftentimes just a product of a wake-up call for HCA teams that coasted out of the gates and has just had an absolute sense of urgency instilled in them.

I hardly think 1994 Pacers coach Larry Brown was a shitty coach

What kind of coaching was it if they lost 2 games in a row after going home with a 3-2 lead?????????

No last second shot in this case.
The Celtics had been ahead and the Hawks cut it down to 2. Boston had the ball and Bird turned it over on a bad pass. But Atlanta was unable to score on their last possession, so it went back to Boston for game 7 with the famous Bird-Nique shoot out.

Miami/Boston in 2012 off the top of my head
That series killed Boston. Up 3-2, the next night Okc beat the Spurs to advance to the finals, the Celtics knew who their opponents would be. All they needed to do was win one game, and they couldn't do it in two tries. Ray Allen ended up leaving that offseason to join up with Miami and Boston lost their spacing, thus becoming a 7 seed team even though PP and KG played most of the season. Pretty sure that was the season Rondo got injured, too.
That series was the end of an era, much like the Lakers vs Dallas series in 2011 was the end of the Kobe/Pau championship team.

Do you think Pat Riley is some scrub? Because his Knicks--y'know, the team that used to give MJ's Bulls a run for their money--was the team that beat Brown's Pacers. No shame in losing to that Knicks team.

Bucks - Hornets 2000-01 ECSF. Bucks won first two at home, Hornets won the next three and the Bucks won game 6 on the road and then won game 7 at home. Iverson and the 76ers beat them in 7 in the ECF.

Why people keep mentioning Spurs/Heat 2013 is beyond me. You would think people would remember where Ray Allen's legendary shot was...If it was in San Antonio it would have been even more epic.

Most of these aren't what the OP is talking about. He's talking about teams that take 3-2 series leads in which they win game 5 on the ROAD, then go HOME for game 6 and can't close it out, and proceed to lose the series in 7.
The Kings had HCA in 2002. They went up 3-2 in Sacramento, lost game 6 in Los Angeles, and lost game 7 in Sacramento.
1985-2014 was 2-3-2 format in the Finals. The Lakers had HCA in 2010. The Celtics won game 5 in Boston, then they lost the last 2 in LA.
The Spurs won game 5 in 2013 in SA to take a 3-2 lead, then they lost the next 2 games in Miami.
The Celtics had HCA in 2009 against the Magic. Boston won game 5 in Boston, lost game 6 in Orlando, then lost game 7 in Boston.
