Everybody is stepping up like crazy and I'm proud. But this is against two just awful defensive teams. Houston and Portland have no defensive game plan. They allow every type of offense. Curry is not needed in these situations. His value becomes apparent against disciplined good defensive teams like the Spurs.

So they need Curry against one of the greatest defensive teams of all time? No shit.

Exactly. If we are talking about the Dubs as an all-time great team they should be able to dispatch scrubs like Houston and Portland without missing a beat. The same way the Bulls dominated the NBA without Jordan.

I don't think it is as clear cut as that. While he does put them over the top offensively defensively the absence of curry also puts them over the top.

This is what I've been thinking. Without Curry, there's no defensive liability to exploit. Livingston's defense and posting up the opposing PG is disastrous for plenty of teams. Not saying the Warriors are better without Curry, but the drop off isn't as bad as people are making out. They get worse offensively to be sure, but their defense improves as well.

Truth. So far it's been an entirely different look and you could tell how frustrated the Blazers were today. If Klay shoots well enough and we get ~20 points from Livingston I think the improvement on the defensive end makes us almost as dangerous.

Livingston doesn't need to score 20 if the bench can contribute. That was the only drawback today. Bench players struggled to score and play defense. Don't want Klay to have to score 37 a night. These guys have to step it up at home at least.

GS offense has a bunch of guys who can flat out shoot the ball and/or make plays & good decisions
