People who actually root for a team instead of one player?? Im seeing alot of "warrior fans" get mad that the warriors are winning without curry.

Similar thing happens when other cav players besides lebron have awesome games and lebron fans hope cavs lose cause it might make him look bad.

Im genuinely a lakers fan but im going for warriors to put a chip on top of their historic season record and i dont gve a fack whos playing as long as the TEAM wins

What's a fan to you really? I like watching great basketball. I'm a Dirk fan myself so I root for the team Dirk is playing for. Besides that I just root for the team which plays great ball, right now that would be: Spurs, Warriors and Atlanta. When they don't play and I watch other games I become a "player fan".

I've always rooted for the Cavs. I'm pretty forth-coming on LeBron as well and always have been. I remember when he had his first tenure in Cleveland me and RBA would get into it because I would be so honest about LBJ and his whining about non-foul-calls and his flops, then RBA would be like, "Are you even a Cleveland fan if you're going to complain about our best player in that way?" And i was just being real about the whole ordeal. He still does it today. He'll sit there and stomp his feet like a 250 pound baby and give up on the next play and not even be up on defense with the rest of the team. It irks the f*ck out of me that grown men act like a child.

Then LeBron left, I was disappointed, but not mad like a bunch of people. RBA went into emo-mode, then when whispers started happening of LeBron coming back RBA is like, "If LeBron comes back I think I'm not going to watch the NBA anymore." Of course this muhf*cka caved and flipped a new switch when he came back was it was official. Same type of people who say they'll leave the county if so-and-so gets voted in.

In short, I've always been a fan of basketball even before my team. I root for the Cavs to get tough opponents in the playoffs. I root for tough playoff series. I root for entertainment. Like the Pistons series, even though itw as 4-0, it was entertaining because the Pistons fought tooth and nail in those loses. They're just like 1 piece away plus some experience.

i consider myself a fanatical cavs fan but i'm not so wild about his team.

This particular cavs team isn't likable.. Not like the Lebron 1.0 teams that won 66 and 62 games. There is something about this group that i just don't like.

I hate the fact that Lebron got Blatt fired because Blatt wasn't cool enough for him or whatever. I hate the lackadaisical attitude by Lebron in the majority of games. I hate Kyrie's stubbornness. This cavs team just doesn't play with same kind of zeal that previous cavs teams played with. This iteration might be the most talented, but they sure as hell aren't the hardest working.

Grew up in south Florida and have been a Heat fan since the Glen Rice / Rony Seikaly years (probably around '91 or '92). The only player I've ever really rooted for individually is Eddie Jones because he's from my home town. I rooted for him at Temple and in the NBA. Even so, I still rooted for the Heat when they faced him. I would want him to have a good game but his team lose. It was cool when he signed with the Heat in his later years. Eddie was past his prime, but he and Wade were still a hell of a wing tandem.

Nope, just mostly player stans that are insecure in the presence of those who watched MJ play live. :confusedshrug:

I've been to more live Cavs games than anyone on this site and it makes people's blood boil because I'm always telling them that a Lebron led team will never win again.

Yao and Tmac got me into basketball, but i've been stuck with the Lakers since about 2007 when I was around 12 I think. Wish I watched when I was younger, I got to see the Kobe/Pau years but not the Shaq/Kobe ones :(

Love the Spurs and am excited to watch the next generation of SPURS BALL, just like my father watched George Gervin and crew before David Robinson came along and made a name for the city.. and then later Duncan helped bring championships... It's all about the team and I'm kinda ready to see how the Spurs fare post Big-3 , however bittersweet it may be

Lol @ the jabs at RBA.

Kind of unnecessary IMO.... I'm pretty sure I've said things along the lines of never watching the raptors if we lose in the 1st round back in 2014/2015, and here I am today.

This is a basketball forum.... Hell people get emotional in life and that's totally normal. Holding something he said a year or two ago because he was being.... Emotional is a little too much don't you think?
