This was supposed to be George's main ''help''. He stunk it up. Not even close to his days scoring 20 or 19 a night for Golden State and Dallas.

11.6 points per game // 3.9 rebounds per game // 4.3 assists per game // 2.4 turnovers per game // 43% shooting

You do know he avg 25.5ppg for GSW once right? And >24 the next year.

But that's what he is. A good scoring option on a bad team.

On good scoring percentages and with good assist numbers. He relied too much on his quickness/athleticism but father time is ticking.

to be honest pacers need a big two guard that can handle the rock........lance Stephenson!!!!!

George hill isn't a good facilitator and neither is monta.....monta wants to score...George hill is pretty much a 3 and D guy.....I give paul George credit though.....dude is prolly the best player in the league that NOBODY is talking about.

Pacers need to build a contender around him asap. Bring Stephenson back and pacers instantly become contenders in my opinion. Team has a very bright future

Stephenson still doesn't have it upstairs to compete on a high-level consistently.

He is an undersized shooting guard who has always relied on his quickness and now he is 30 years old and has almost logged 30k NBA minutes on his body (he came straight out of highschool)

That is why he has had a sharp decline

STOP IT,STOP IT

MONTA IS JUST AS QUICK AS HE WAS WHEN HE WAS DRAFTED. JUST POOR SHOT SELECTION. SOMETHING HE HAS ALWAYS STRUGGLED WITH.

ALSO SHOULD HAVE BEEN CONVERTED TO PG STRAIGHT OUT OF HS. I DONT KNOW WHY TEAMS ALLOWED HIM TO REMAIN AS AN OFF GUARD.

I DONT GET HOW TEAMS WILL CONVERT A GUY LIKE WESTBRROK TO PG BUT LET A GUY LIKE MONTA REMAIN A SG.SMH

Being in a facilitator role with Dirk is one of the more favorable positions possible. Taking anyone away from Dirk is going to hurt his offensive game...Dirk is one of the greatest offensive players in history.

But you seem to be straying away from your original comments. Please go on about how Monta Ellis has not lost a step in 10 years and 30 thousand NBA minutes and after tearing his left ankle ligaments completely off the bone.

Please go on about how coaches should of "made" Monta Ellis a pure point guard, because that is how it works and everything. While you are at it why havn't coaches made Enes Kanter a good defensive player. Why havn't coaches been able to teach Dwight Howard moves like Kevin McHale? Why haven't coaches taught Andre Drummond how to shoot like Dirk Nowitski?

At some point these players are who they are. Monta is a combo guard and not a pure point guard. Coaches have tried to get Monta into more of a point guard role during his career but it doesn't work. He doesn't have good vision, he dribbles high with his head down, he doesn't have the greatest basketball iq. He had athleticism that let him blow by people off the dribble and get to the rim and quickness to create seperation for his mid range game. He was never a 3 point shooter. When his quickness started to leave his bread and butter of slashing and mid range shooting suffered greatly.

Long story short, shut the **** up, you dont know ball.

big difference between having the skillset to do something and not. Monta has the skill set to play pg only a dummy couldn't see that...again he strived in that role with dirk. but yet you give dirk all the credit while not giving monta his props for transforming his game.....idiot.

back to your shitty comparisons...like I said...ITS A BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HAVING THE SKILLSET AND NOT. DWIGHT NEVER HAD THE SKILLSET TO BE A BACK TO THE BASKET CENTER.

AGAIN YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT BASKETBALL. JUST ANOTHER GUY WHO WATCHES THE BEST PLAYERS AND THEN COMMENTS ON ISH.

GREAT JOB!!!!

Monta refused to play point guard. Believe me, Nellie tried to get him to play. Monta said he was a shooting guard and that's what he was gonna play.

What can you say? He's been in this league for a while and has played his way.

All of this. But I will add for emphasis. Monta rejected the notion of playing point guard when he was with the Warriors. He flat out refused. I remember when they were at pre-season practice and Nellie told him he was gonna start playing point. He got injured and was on was laid out and couldn't move. We all thought he was paralyzed but he ended up being ok. To this day I don't know what really happened. All I know is after that, Nellie didn't push him anymore about playing the point.

Completely turned to sht without Dirk. Not surprising
same sht happened to Barea, Terry, Cal_eron, Carter etc after they left Dirk

Dirk makes sht and avg guards look like stars
