big difference between having the skillset to do something and not. Monta has the skill set to play pg only a dummy couldn't see that...again he strived in that role with dirk. but yet you give dirk all the credit while not giving monta his props for transforming his game.....idiot.

Monta refused to play point guard. Believe me, Nellie tried to get him to play. Monta said he was a shooting guard and that's what he was gonna play.

All of this. But I will add for emphasis. Monta rejected the notion of playing point guard when he was with the Warriors. He flat out refused. I remember when they were at pre-season practice and Nellie told him he was gonna start playing point. He got injured and was on was laid out and couldn't move. We all thought he was paralyzed but he ended up being ok. To this day I don't know what really happened. All I know is after that, Nellie didn't push him anymore about playing the point.
