Macs report they are certain of signing Dwight and will pay him big bucks. Chandler Parsons expected to have played a pivotal role in recruiting Howard. Cuban also said Dwight is still a superstar behind closed doors.

I like it

Dirk-Howard will be an interesting combo

As long as Dwight sticks to rebounding, defending and catching lobs

I like it but hopefully it doesn't turn into another Rondo situation.

Too bad Dwight still thinks he'd be a 30 PPG player if he only got fed on the low block more :lol

Win Win situation I think.

I could see a properly motivated Dwight having a resurgence...though it's kind of funny how everyone goes around talking like he's garbage now when he's still easily one of the better centers in the league. I look forward to seeing what Carlisle does with him.

Kobe and Nash tried to feed Dwight on the pick and roll and Dwight refused to run it.

Dwight turns the ball over one out of five times he touches it in the low block. That is an actual statistic.

Why do you think a man who can't hit free throws and turns the ball over one out of five times he touches it should be fed on the low block?:confusedshrug:

He definitely isn't, especially in the modern small ball NBA.

Dirk is wasting his money at this point. A scrub like Matthews is already making twice what he is making and no way parsons opts out of his deal to take less money.

I feel for Dirk and Cuban will probably hook him up in other ways but Mavs ain't winning shit unless they magically signed Howard and Durant.

Waste of money.

Lol at Dirk missing on cash for that fool.

Inside sources also report that Dwight and Parsons have good chemistry as a two man pick n roll as well as Parsons affinity to pass into the post to Dwight as referred to the Houston days. Sources also report Deron Williams was also a reason for Howard wanting to play in Dallas.

I was actually hoping this would happen. I mean heck it couldnt get any worse.

Didn't Deron Williams opt out? I think I read that somewhere

would have made sense 2012. same with d. will 2012. but now? 2016? 2017?

2012 dirk with d-will, howard could have had a shot. but the again: howard is probably a team-cancer and has more interest in his personal succes than in the teams succes
LOL

Mark Cuban finally got his Deron Williams/Dwight Howard sweepstakes but only when they're past their primes

i smell not even making the playoff tbh. rockets, young blazers and jazz teams....then you will have the wolves and maybe the hornets.

dirk is turning 38 next month.....would be nearly 39 when the playoffs start next april. LOL

5 years to late. Dirk can sign with the Cavaliers in the off season. I don't have any problem with Dirk the player. I just hate his racists fans like that Australian doucheface named Masondixon.

As long as it's not headcase Howard it's a good buy. Dwight just needs to focus on defense and get over his ego

Make that 3, how's Parson in the playoff? Injured as always.

Basically what they want from him is to play the Tyson Chandler role, except right now in his career he isn't at that level, but he still should provide more on the offense than Tyson Chandler.

Cuban needs to stop trying to squeeze blood out of a rock. There's no sense in trying to build around Dirk any more. Its time to rebuild.

Who are the top 5 centers?
IMO, not in order:

Andre Drummond
Marc Gasol
Hassan Whiteside
Steven Adams
Andrew Bogut
Al Jefferson
Enes Kanter
Rudy Gobert
Al Horford

Howard is a below average starter in the current NBA. Hassan Whiteside is IMO the best center in the NBA, followed by Marc Gasol, Andrew Bogut and Al Jefferson.
