I understand why the heat don't want to play him. It's a risky situation if something were to happen and it's not worth risking his life.

**** the Players Union. I'd rather they force him not to play than risk his life.

Bosh is the heat 2nd best player when healthy

I'd say he is their best player.
In the least he could come off the bench and take all of big minutes that Amare, McBob, Haslem currently take.

Maybe there is more information, but why does Bosh think he can play?

Medical staff isn't going to clear him to play, he's out for the Playoffs..

Why is he trying to come back on blood thinners when one blow to the head can cause internal bleeding? SMH... Would just serve as a distraction for the team...imagine the PR if something happened to him on the court.

he probably got an independent opinion from a Doctor not associated with Miami and is resting his entire case on that

I heard somewhere else he got cleared by one doctor but every other doctor he's seen has been against it. Best reason I've heard for him wanting to play is Bosh knowing he might never be a full regular season again so this is his last chance to really contribute.

Joke aside, health is on first place and I doubt HEAT doctors will clear him for play.

He should just listen to the doctors and sit. It's not worth it. Dude has over a $100M in the bank, has 2 rings, and will be in the HOF. It's just not worth risking it.

I wouldn't mind him coming back and playing 15 minutes a night backing up Whiteside.

Doesn't make sense for him to play. Heat are doing fine and holding their own. I'd be shocked if they lose to the raptors.

They even have a shot, even though it's an unlikely one, to beat the cavs in 7 games with how inconsistent Cleveland has been playing.

Come back strong for next season, no need to risk your life or your entire career for this run.

He should at least suit up and wait for blow out games or just a few minutes at the end of decided games.

If there isn't a liability issue here at hand, and he's pushing to play, and he's got a doctor willing to clear him, than LET HIM PLAY.

Even his wife is behind it. It'll ultimately be on him taking this risk.

Bosh taking all the Amare, McBob, and UD minutes would be sooooooo clutch. Just 8-12 minutes off the bench would do wonders.

they would still be liable to the tax this season, as Bosh did play more than the required amount of games to avoid it - which I believe is 16 games, IIRC

the Heat are looking out for Bosh, and his long term impact on the team, not just this short run in trying to make the Finals. Riley knows the potential of a Bosh/Whiteside/Wade/KD/Dragic squad is much more worthy than risking an early Bosh return and possibly losing him indefinitely.

as many said already, he has everything under his name that an NBA star would want - it's more selfish reasoning in trying to get in now, IMO. and I know the inability to fight with the team is lingering at him but he has to look long term rather than for the now. he really needs to relax and rehab completely and get undoubted clearance for an epic return next season.

I don't think Bosh was as close to Lebron as Wade. The NBA is begging for CLE-MIA ECF. It's definitely a 6-7 game series.

You got players from the 2003 draft class that won championships together competing against each other.

You have star power in Wade and Lebron mixed with Kyrie who's upcoming.

You've got the narrative that MIA has stock piled players that have been bounced repeatedly out of the playoffs from Lebron James (Deng, Joe Johnson, Amare)

Pat Riley will certainly be in those meetings for a Cleveland series. He wants to beat Lebron and the CAVS.

From a BB stand point the Heat desperately needs his presence, even as a WS backup. I mean they're using Haslem corpse to do the job.

That being said, it's not worthy it. If something happens with him on the court it would be a catastrophe not only for the Heat and the doctors who let him play but for the whole NBA.
In a personnel level Bosh shouldn't risk his life for this run. He got 2 chips already, he is a HOFer already.

If Bosh returns right now, it could be scary for the opposing team's players. Imagine playing against someone who may die due to a foul you commit, and you'd be considered a murderer, you'd be frightened to play physical against him.

I would love for Bosh to play, and take the minutes given to McRoberts, Udonis Haslem and Amare, because we all know that would improve the Heat drastically.
16-20 minutes a game tops. It would improve Miami that much more.
However, He needs to understand that his life is at risk, and unless 100% medically cleared by multiple doctors, he shouldn't play.
We ALL want you to come back and help our team be successful, but health comes first.

Skip Bayless made the best points out of anyone in the media. This is a player who is highly intelligent on and off the court and a father of 5. If Bosh says he's ready, if his wife says she's okay with it, if his family says go for it, and if his own doctors approve of it, Bosh's credibility shouldn't be questioned. Bosh and company believe it's little to no risk at this point who's already traveling to away game, but Miami's team doctors say it's a huge risk. It's somewhat fishy.

If another year goes by and he'll be 33, Wade 35, JJ 35, Deng 32, Dragic 30, Whiteside may not even be on the roster, and Durant could/probably will sign elsewhere. Miami has a chance to upset Cleveland and get to the finals. I say go for it while everything is clicking.
