What makes a difference is the coaching. Put Curry on the Blazers and give them Steve Kerr and his staff to coach.

The way the Warriors play is by design. Our players are great but there is a game plan in place. As long as they execute the game plan they will win. It's not that hard. When they don't execute, switching, cutting and try to go one on one it doesn't work. These guys are talented no doubt but the only one that can completely dominate a game on his scoring is Steph. He's just that good.

Draymond regularly gets the advantage in attacking a already broken and scrambling defense which is set up with a Curry pick n roll. Reading the defensive rotations and making the right pass is cake at that point. I can't count how many times Curry breaks down a defense, dumps it to Draymond who attacks a broken D while Curry curls back around and draymond hit him with an open three. or if the defensive rotation follows Curry, it opens up klay, or a different player and so forth.

Now, getting to the topic. Damian is in no way trying to emulate Curry. He came into the league as a rookie banging three's. He has just gotten better. While I do believe Curry may be a little better, if you switch their positions nothing would change. Golden State would still be the best team in the league.

Why do people keep saying he's copying Curry. He's been playing this way before Curry did. He did this his rookie season in Golden State. He didn't just start taking deep threes. Lillard isn't as good at shooting as Curry but Lillard is more exciting when attacking the rim. He really tries to posterize people. Curry is more of a finesse finisher.
