Not unfair. Warriors are built on the draft, a good trade (Bogut) and decent free agent signings. They have a GM with a vision and the best of the best to help him along. Didn't have the highest draft picks but made the best of the ones they had 7 being the highest. Steve Kerr and his staff has gotten the most out of the players. But that starts with players being smart. Everyone has bought in and are on board. They have as an organization, built a team for the new era from scratch. I am still amazed at how they went from 0-60-100 so fast.
