he wasn't even on the team in 96. This question has been asked way too many times but I'll tackle it and say what the result would be.
97 Kobe-04 Lebron(lose to Jazz)
98 Kobe-05 Lebron(lose to Jazz but not 4-0)
99 Kobe-06 Lebron(lose to Spurs in close series)
00 Kobe-07 Lebron(win title, Portland still gives them trouble so iffy)
01 Kobe-08 Lebron(win title)
02 Kobe-09 Lebron(win title)
03 Kobe-10 Lebron(win title)
04 Kobe-11 Lebron(lose to Pistons since i'm assuming he still plays like shit in the Finals)
I'm thinking 3-4 but more likely 4.

He played with Shaq once and go no rings. Played with Wade, Bosh, Rashard Lewis, Ray Allen and only got one ring. Lol.
They don't win with without a dominant perimeter player.

Would be a terrible fit. The Heat were a midget team as is and you want to start 2 SG's? Even if we ignore that, they probably win in '11 (if they get past the Bulls), won't get past the Celtics in '12 and the Pacers in '13. The Spurs dust them worse, if they get to the Finals. I'm using '06-'09 Kobe here, BTW.

I did say it's iffy and pls keep in mind what lebron did in the playoffs in 07. He has a game like game 5 vs the Pistons that's a guaranteed win. Just because I disagree with you doesn't mean I didn't watch the series. That ofc is ignoring that Lebron could do other things better than kobe even if his jumper if bad but ofc a hater would ignore that.

I only say this to get bran stans upset though.
Whe they label everyone who plays with Lebron a scrub, Im very quick to give them a dose of reality. I remember seeing Ray Allen play when he WASNT just a spot up shooter and Rashard Lewis giving people buckets when they were on the Sonics.
They were both shells of their former selves with the heat. It's more about proving a point. These weren't some bench players that went to play on the heat.

Scrubs, no but the 04-10 Cavs were some truly unimpressive teams, some of which were comparable to Kobe's 06-07.

Agreed. But that team was HIGHLY constructed around Lebron and I believe that is consistently the problem with teams that are tailored to Lebron. They can't win because they're extremely dependent on him and forget they're professionals.
This Cavs team is good though and built much better. But until Lebron is able to make jumpers consistently, I'm sure I'll keep hearing excuses about his teammates every year.

Both Lebron and Shaq are predictable players with limited methods of scoring, which made them exploitable, and ultimately susceptible to losing as the favorite, which they both did many times: Shaq (1995, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2004, 2005), Lebron (2009, 2010, 2011, and more (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showpost.php?p=12315760&postcount=6))

not only that, but they both take vast majority of their shots at the rim and there would be no semblance of midrange game from anybody on the team. If you think 80s / 90s paint was packed, it would be next level in this case. Spurs might be sitting on 7-8 titles right now.

How many championship for the Lakers from 1996 to 2004?A better question would be... Replace Lebron with Kobe on the Miami team 2011-2014 and how many titles do Miami win? I'd say it's safe to say at least 3 titles... 2011, 2012, 2013 and probably 2014 if Kobe doesn't get injured and it's very likely if he was on that stacked heat team he probably would of been injured or at least he would not have missed as many games as he did with the Lakers thus more than likely the Heat would have won the title in 2014 also. Not too mention he would not have pulled a bitch move and left the Heat after 4 years... So good chance they would have won not 5, not 6 but 7 titles.

2011 - IF they get past the Bulls, they might win it all in the Finals. After all, Wade did go ham on the Mavs.
2012 - Not getting past the Celtics
2013 - Not getting past the Pacers
2014 - IF, and that a big if, they get to the Finals, they get beatdown harder than with LeBron.
So, one ring at the most.

any all star player could be put on those Heat teams and they would win 2 or more titles.. so its not saying much tbh.
Id actually be really interested to see how much better Bosh couldve been incorporated w/ a Melo type on those Heat squads, working the midrange.

You do know that the Heat won several series and a shit ton of games because of LeBron's defense and playmaking, right?
Melo on the Heat? They wouldn't even make the Finals once. Well, probably limp to the Finals in '14. That's it.
A better example is replacing Kobe with a borderline All-Star player. Someone like JJ Reddick. The Lakers would've won 5 straight from '00-'04.

The Heat were already a top 6 defense before 2011 .. so they had potential to be elite defensively w/o Lebron or Bosh. Adding Bosh to the mix, and then filling it out like they did with tremendous defenders, shane battiers, birdman, chalmers etc would have the Heat right in that top 3-5 category every year.
and Lebron's playmaking is overlapped w/ Wades.. a lot of diminishing returns there, where if you lose Lebron's A+ playmaking, you can still replace it with Wade A playmaking.. which isnt much of a loss. And then on the other hand you can utilize Bosh in the midrange more w/o Bron which would take him to ~B+ capacity, up from C at best which is about what he was under the Heat.. making up the difference pretty handily.
And then Melo to finish games w/ that iso midrange ability? It would give them a whole new dimension.

Basketball doesn't work that way. Miami's defense shut down elite players though their trapping defense. Wade and LeBron absolutely mauling on the perimeter and Bosh helping with the pick and rolls. Carmelo was not even close to being half the defender that LeBron was from '11-'13.
and Lebron's playmaking is overlapped w/ Wades.. a lot of diminishing returns there, where if you lose Lebron's A+ playmaking, you can still replace it with Wade A playmaking..

Except, you have ONE elite and high IQ playmaker now, instead of two. Do you remember what Wade and LeBron were doing? Carmelo was not will never be more effecting with Wade running the fast break.
which isnt much of a loss. And then on the other hand you can utilize Bosh in the midrange more w/o Bron which would take him to ~B+ capacity, up from C at best which is about what he was under the Heat we witnessed.. making up the difference pretty handily.
41% of Bosh's shots were outside 10ft during the '10 season with the Raptors. 53% with the Heat during the '11 season.
And then Melo to finish games w/ that iso midrange ability? It would give them a whole new dimension.

If he's the mediocre shooter we've all known him to be for MOST his career, the Lakers win less with him.
