Neither are top tier scorers at their position, but who's the better scorer between them right now?

Both better than LeBron.

Kyrie and not close. Healthy Kyrie is lethal when he gets it going is unguardable.

Kyrie is an elite scorer. Focusing on scoring only? It's not close.

The guy is averaging 25.0 points on 60.2 TS% in the playoffs so far. And, he's done it against two teams that got where they are because of their defense (Detroit and Atlanta).

Hell, Kyrie has the highest PER (28.2) in the Eastern Conference in these playoffs so far.

The Hawks were the second ranked team in the league this season in defensive efficiency. And they won their first round matchup in large part due to their defensive versatility and gameplanning.

Wade is playing really good all-around basketball in the playoffs so far and I have nothing but respect for his game. But, his scoring numbers pale in comparison. He's putting up a more than respectable 19.6 points on 51.7% TS.

That's a sizeable gap. The thing that separates Irving's scoring from most guys in the NBA is that he's a deadly long-range shooter, was statistically the best midrange shooter in the NBA this season, and obviously a great finisher who has a bevy of moves around the basket and can finish with either hand.

And, he just turned 24. Wade is 34.

Kyrie should be the more lethal pure scorer at this stage of the game. No shame in that.

get out of here, it's kyrie at this stage of his career. Wade just doesn't have the explosiveness anymore.

Kyrie is also averaging 5.5 assists to just 1.7 turnovers a game in the playoffs. That's among the best A/TO ratios in these playoffs.

He's playing at an extremely high level all the way around, currently.

Not saying that he's "better" than Wade all-around currently nor does it really matter since they play totally different roles on totally different teams. But I also think people have been a little slow to catch-on to the way Irving has been playing since he got back into a groove. It took a while with the whole breaking of the kneecap thing for him to get back into the rhythm of the game, but he couldn't have picked a better time to play like this.

He's even been doing a nice job defensively on Teague this round and Reggie Jackson last round.

Kyrie's greatness deserves it's own thread.

Damn. I didn't realize he led the east in PER in the playoffs.

And his assist to turnover ratio is insane.

This is an unfair question. Wade is the superior all around player but Kyrie is CLEARLY the better scorer at this point. When u think about, Kyrie likely has one of the top 10 scoring skillsets EVER at the PG position.

The fact that this is even a question really sort of underscores people's underrating of Uncle Drew. Kyrie is the most polished one-on-one scorer in the NBA. He can finish very well ambidextrously, hit the midrange shot at about an MJ-like 44-48%, the 3ball at about 39% and finish at the rim really well too. On top of being a great shooter, he can also hit shots in every way imaginable. A fadeaway midrange jumper after splitting a double team, a step-back 3, a reverse layup, a running left-handed floater, the dream shake in the post. Excellent body control and quickness/handle with a knockdown shot. Not many players can match that, especially guards. Harden either charges to the rim to get fouled, or hits a 3 or sometimes takes a midrange jumper, which he hits at only about like 37%. Damian Lillard is usually done if he isn't hitting his long range shot. Wall has yet to shoot above 39% in the playoffs. Lowry is always injured, and plays horribly every playoff series. Derozan is just awful.

Now comparing kyrie to wade? Kyrie's been a better scorer than him from 2013 on. In the 2014 finals Wade was totally helpless and got manhandled by danny green for like 15 points per game. It wasn't during the playoffs, but Kyrie dropped 57 points on that same team less than a year later. It's time to face it: barring injury, Kyrie is going to continue to be the best guard in the east coast (along with Wall) and he might win finals MVP if the cavs win it all.

both are volume, ball dominant guards who tend to stagnate their offense alot... Can't really pick as im not too keen on those types of offenses.

there's a reason he isn't taking over close games and dropping 25+ every game.

R u slow? Do u EVEN KNOW what scoring skillset means??? SCORING SKILLSET means ALL THE DIFFERENT ways u can score at a high ass level. Other than Nash, Kyrie is a better three point shooter than ALL THE GUYS u listed. In terms of handles, Kyrie's handles are as good as ANYBODY.

Plus Kyrie is a strong 6'3 and finishes with both hands as well as ANYBODY on your list. ACTUAL scoring numbers AND ACTUAL scoring skillset are two different things. Kyrie EASILY has a case for having one of the top 10 scoring skillsets of all time for a PG.

Awesome breakdown of Kyrie! The stuff u laid out is why I feel Kyrie has one of the top 10 scoring skillsets of all time among PG's. Better 3 ball shooter than virtually every PG other than guys like Steph, Price, and Nash. ARGUABLY has the best handles of all time. And has the GOLDEN TICKET of being able to take and make tough ass shots in countless ways. Kid simply has tricks u can't teach.

On given nights, D Wade can still be the best SG in the world. In general, I would say Harden holds that mantle now. But Wade still has enough in the tank to be All Star caliber and a top 5 SG in the world. His main drawback is durability, so he can't go hard all the time like he used to.

remember when being the second scoring option and not leading your team in PER meant you were being carried on ISH..

This is why you Chokebe turds are the worst. I present facts or a solid argument and you turds come up with retarded responses.

Can you disprove my statement? If not, go back to mastrubating to Chokebe highlights.
