First of the Pacers should have won that series and be in the 2nd round right now. The reasons they should have won the series is because

1. They stole game 1 in Toronto

2. Could not protect home court and lose game 3

And here is what probably made Bird fire him for sure.

Pacers lead by 13 heading into the 4th qtr of Game 5, a game they were supposed to win and head back home with a 3-2 lead and lost the game

So when you add all that up, why the f*ck would he still be employed?:oldlol:

Because that team was literally Paul George and role players

You give Vogel sh^t and expect gold in return, that's not how it works. They did well to take the 2nd seed to 7 games

His offense was suspect... and sometimes you just need a new voice in the locker room.

Someone is going to hire Vogel within the month.

Don't give me that role players nonsense. They was good enough to help PG get a 13 pt lead in the 4th qtr of Game 5

I wonder why they couldn't maintain it :facepalm

At half time they were up 61-54...Paul George scored something like 15 points in the 3rd quarter to give them that 13 point lead heading into the 4th

The team is trash outside George, Myles Turner will be nice though

Allowing the Raps to claw back into game 5 (sat his hot George who was lighting us up for fat too long) was an extremely costly move and he paid for it in spades.

That aside, I'm assuming Bird and Frank weren't on the same page here...

Don't call him an idiot because your the real idiot here dumba22. Contract expires means that the job was done. Being fired means ripping up the contract before the job has been done. Vogel finished his job and was not kicked out before the end of his contract which meant both sides fulfilled their part of the contract. You must be some little kid who hasn't even finished university yet right? Maybe your still in highschool. Get an education before you act like a retard.

Same as Carlisle ( he should be fired too ) , he slow pace minded and not a specific ideological coach . Todays game needs like Kerr coaching . High tempo, more oppurtunity on offence and creative offensive systems .

im sure there were many reasons, with a fresh start being one of them

but this does remind me of larrys quotes on coaching from a couple decades ago. something along the lines of "players tune out their coaches after 3 years. unless its an elite coach (pop)"

Bird should be fired for trading Kawhi Leonard for George Hill.

What Carlisle is doing the best he can with what he has. He pretty much has old man Dirk and nothing else.
