LOL at any team that trades the farm for this .425 career shooter. Just saying.

He's getting a little overrated when being called a superstar, but he's a perennial all-star and probably the best perimeter player available after the handful of superstars.

Put him on the Hawks and he would bump up his FG% by a couple percentage points. PG does everything well and deserves superstar pay since there are not a lot to choose from.

I'd pick him over Melo, Lillard, Lowry, Butler, and so on.

Reminds me of Paul Pierce before Garnett and Allen were traded to the Celtics.

Pierce was a good bit better than George.

theres a bigger gap in their defense than their offense.. and their efficiencies are very similar anyway

PP was a better rebounder, passer, defender. Better offensive player as well.

So you are saying give him 2 future HOF players and he can win a championship!

Not everyone can be the shooter that Leonard is.

It was only a matter of time before a thread popped up like this. As soon as a guy starts getting props for raising his play and playing well, someone has to come along and hate on him....

prime PG is averaging more rebounds .. yet hes a worse rebounder? better defender? :wtf:

youre hating on guy whose coming off a 28/8/4, 46% FG + lockdown defense playoff stint. Thats as good a job as Pauls ever done.

It comes with the territory. As soon as somebody plays well, they get overrated, and then that receives backlash and others begin to underrate them. It is a timeless cycle.

I do think Paul George has gotten overrated for dominating Derozan but we all know what kind of player Derozan is in the playoffs. Dude shot 9-24 yesterday and raised his career playoff FG% :oldlol:

he's still a top 10 player in the league and possibly the best defender at the sf position not named kawhi. His low fg% is due to how many 3's he takes. His efg is 49% and ts is 55.8% which is perfectly fine.

Overrated maybe a little. But I would rather have him leading my team then Isaiah Thomas

Of course.
He is someone you can build around as well. Hopefully the Celtics can pick up someone like that.

Well of course. Isaiah only made the all-star team because of the lack of quality guards in the East.

Definitely overrated, matter of fact the Pacers should trade him away to my Bulls for Snell and half a bag of Doritos :D

He is the best second option in the NBA. Needs to play next to a true alpha to get the best out of him. George is awesome but sadly he displays some Lebron like tendencies in the 4th quarter sometimes.

I swear that half the posters on here don't even like basketball, they just like numbers.

Dude makes thread about PG being overrated (after a good playoff series) and brings up his career FG% as his main argument :oldlol: :oldlol:

Paul could score in a variety more ways and was clutch. Rebounding would say Paul George but when you needed a big rebound, PP's desire and ability to rebound is a little better.

PG is a better defender and more athletic.

When was the last time you actually made a post that had to do with basketball, and not just some comment about a poster on here?

He would have higher %s if he wasn't too much of the focal point of the offense. Put him on the Spurs, he will be doing what Leonard is doing.
