Eh..not really. I'm a Spurs fan, but KD's Legacy will depend on his choice in free agency.

Not really. If it was 2-1 Spurs right now, then maybe yes.
Thunder can lose today, win the next, one and be right back in it.

Dumb thread. SAS are supposed to beat OKC. No matter how good Durant plays, his team can still lose because they are facing a much better team overall with a much better coach. This is a team sport after all. Not only Durant has to play great everytime, but OKC role players and Russ need to play great in order to have a chance vs SAS and even then they could still lose. SAS are much better on paper. OKC relies 100% on KD/Russ being on fire.

Pretty much. Durant has come smaller than a marble in so many meaningful postseason games, but this team's upside is killed by their lack of floor spacing, mediocre system and of course Chuckbrook's loss-conducive playing style. This Spurs team was always going to take out these Thunder in 5 games, so that's done. Absolute pretenders.

What makes OKC sad, is that they could actually be a great team, but due to their entire offense running through KD and Westbrook, most games become 2 against 5. This team plays alot better when they share the rock with their role players and spot-up shooters. The only useless piece on this team is Waiters.

And Singler. Two of the worst players in the NBA what a life

problem w/ OKC is they got too many one dimensional players.

Canter is obviously a beast at the rim and finishing plays but hes one of the worst defenders ever

Scrubaka is one of the worst bigs in the post offensively and defensively. On O he can only hit open jumpers created by Russ and KD

Foye is a garbage defender and cant make plays for others

Roberson is a good defender but teams just ignore him on O since he cant do anything there but hit wide open 3s once in a while. So OKC gotta play 4 on 5 on O

Singler is arguably the worst player in the league. _ion as well OKCs lineups with them play on the level of some of the worst teams in the league

Payne is a terrible defender but he a rookie so gets a pass

Nick cant play on O anymore, just makes plays off the high post here and there

Morrows another terrible defender but hes the only guy that can consistently space the floor for KD and Russ

Yeah, Roberson is pretty impressive even if he isn't a great shooter. Ibaka is overrated on D and slightly underutilized on O (thanks to Russ, in large part). Adams and Kanter each bring their own positives to the table. Waiters is pretty much excess. He wouldn't be a valuable piece anywhere but he's even less useful as an average shooting chucker who really shines nowhere.

I think one more sniper and a great passing PG who doesn't dominate the ball is what this group needs, but honestly even then they'd have a hard time getting out of the West... part of it is the lack of league parity, but they have a very serviceable team - just not at the level of the 3 stacked teams, and need a lot of work to get there.

These threads are the worst. Really? So if Durant loses his career is terrible, and if he wins his legacy continues? Come on now. That is ridiculous.

It is a bit too early to say that. Maybe when they are a game away from elimination? But even then, Thunder are considered the underdogs in this series and he still has time in his career to redeem himself.

Ibaka is a better outside shooter than KD right now

When is the last time he lit it up from deep against a good team?

His game is so limited when he jacks shots recklessly, he needs to bulk up and develop a LeBron style drive and kick technique if he wants a title.

Baller1986

What happened to KD's outside shooting? OKC Thunder's bench also sucks in this game.

Can't forget CP3 in his legacy defining games.

2014 2nd round Game 5 vs OKC: chance to go up 3-2 with the next game in LA. Clippers were up 2 with 18 seconds left Paul turned it over and fouled Westbrook on the 3, then he turned it over again on the last possession to cost them the game and eventually the series. They also blew a 13pt lead with 4 minutes left.

2015 2nd round Game 6 vs Houston: up 3-2 and a chance to go to the WCF. Clippers were up 13 entering the 4th quarter, CP3 had 1-6 FG in the 4th quarter before a garbage time 3 at the end of the game to pad his stats. Blew a 3-1 series lead.

What happened to KD's swag? I swear this guy used to ooze confidence and just bury teams with his offense. I think he's way too focused on being a 'complete' player now. If I'm coaching KD, I want him taking every half-open shot he gets against this Spurs defense... not swinging the ball cross-court to get Ibaka a semi-contested 3-point shot. They have fukking Danny Green guarding him. Green is a good defender, but Durant can rise up and shoot over him whenever he wants. Pop is daring Durant to drop 50 by not even bothering to guard him with the DPOY. If I'm Durant, that's a slap in the face.

Agreed
the 2014 MVP season was a step back for him in years after. Hes tried to hard to be a 28/8/5 guy instead of a 32/8/3 guy which is who he is as a player. I think hes self conscious of ppl just labeling him a scorer but he has to own it. He doesnt have the playmaking or passing talent of some other greats

Perhaps because Danny Green is actually a better positional defender then Kawhi....

OKC is a very deep team with talent, don't delude yourself.
