That has never been confirmed. It started as speculation and had remained only a rumor. His death is also rumored to have been caused by painkillers he might have o.d. on or mixed up.

i find it hard to believe that a guy as loaded as the Prince would die of AIDs in America when he has access to the best antiretrovirals money can by. Look at Magic Johnson. i'm assuming he takes his medications routinely and the HIV virus is undetectable in him. he wouldnt be able to infect another person even if he wanted to.thats how minuscule of a presence the virus has in him and thats all from medicating
