I'm not all too familiar with the subject but to my knowledge, the industry of female escorting, bar companions, and prostitution is what thailand has become. With their backs against the walls and really with no other option, it almost seems like a better option than pillaging around town.

i doubt anyone in thailand loans poor people enough money to start a business like opening a bar or restaurant because there is no guarantee in that it will return a strong profit to cover interest.
