Yeah, the NBA waited until Dallas had a 2-0 series lead and was up 13 points in the 4th quarter or game 3 to start the rigging. The league must have also rigged Wade to make contested jumpers and the Mavs to miss open jumpers and layups. The league then decided to put the Mavs on the FT line with a chance to ice the game (and basically the series). Pretty terrible job of rigging. One missed shot by the Heat or made shot by the Mavs would have foiled the entire plan.

NBA is a business first. Just like any major leagues. Look at soccer

this one is rarely mentioned but 2012 Finals ..

after Durant torched bran in the clutch to steal game 1, the refs started to take him out of the game w/ foul trouble in the following games, and they didnt call a foul on bran at the end of game 2 for KD that shouldve been called on that one bucket that couldve completed the comeback.

completely flipped the momentum of the series around after that first game w/ their officiating ...

I remember actually feeling bad for bran after that game and hoping heat would come through at that point, but not in the way that it happened.

Here's two under the radar ones. Not saying I believe them, but they've been discussed before.

1993 Suns vs. Sonics

NBA wanted Barkley vs. Jordan. Suns shot 64 FTs in game 7.

2001 Bucks vs. 76ers

NBA wanted MVP AI in the finals to play against Shaq and Kobe.

Ray Allen:

"I think there's no question about that. The league, as a marketing machine, the bottom line is about making money," Allen said. "It behooves everybody for the league to make more money, and the league knows that Philadelphia is going to make more money with L.A. than we would with L.A."

KD shouldn't have even be in the game at that point. The refs didn't call an offensive foul on him. In game 3, KD led both teams in minutes played and games 4 and 5, he wasn't in foul trouble. KD played god awful defense and committed a ton of dumb reach in fouls. Also, LeBron barely guarded KD. Battier was covering him. IIRC, LeBron defended KD on like 15-20 shot attempts.

You really shouldn't comment on games that you've obviously not watched.

I just watched the Sixers/Bucks game and it was insane. That was when there was a lot more contact allowed and Philly was allowed to do things that could get them arrested if they had done them in the park, yet the Bucks were getting phantom/touch calls all game.

I really do believe it has died down and almost all examples are from 2006 and before.

The one caveat was the 2012-13 Lakers. Down the stretch they had some insane record to sneak in the playoffs. And the officiating help they got was beyond ridiculous. Otherwise, more than a few bad calls but nothing one could possibly argue was criminal.

And there you have it. It's on record that it was rigged.

True, every major sporting events, NFL, NBA, MLB, Soccer. I was a Jordan fan and I recognized the Bulls were favored many times. I knew before hand the Sacramento kings got screwed against the Lakers, Jazz got screwed years ago against the Lakers, perhaps the Celtics were favored over the Lakers in their first run, in their second run Lakers were helped, In fact I truly belief Andrew Bynum got illegal injections that screwed his career, he was force to play hurt, he shouldn't never been medically clear to play and the Dwight Howard trade never shouldn't happen in the first place.

Chris Paul to the Lakers was vetoed but the collusion was allowed to take place. Had to get the golden boy his rings.

I would always dismiss people when they said something was rigged. Just figured they were butt hurt. But when the Lakers were going to miss the playoff with their super team, the calls at the end of the last few games left my eyes wide open. The Lakers should have missed the playoffs that season.
