You'd think Shaq woulda killed Robertson, because it looked at first like a solid shot. Either way, Robertson didn't back down and looked like he was actually going back at Shaq.
Robertson was pretty damn strong for a guard back then. I remember reading once that he used to wrestle football players back when he was in college.

Jesus Christ, that's a vicious shot by Shaq. You would think a shot like that from him would KO a lot of guys. Robertson took that well.

Alvin Robertson was old school. Those guys didn't back down. Robertson was a tough defender.

Robertson was one of the best defensive guards ever.
players today fall to the ground when there is high impact like if their jersey touches another player's jersey

Shaq's always been a coward.
Fighting someone half your size is cowardly.
He tried that with Barkley and got his ass laid out.

Barkley was on top before a bunch of guys came in to save Shaq.
And Barkley bounced that ball off his head.

Six months later, Robertson was suspended for trying to choke out the Pistons' GM at the time (Billy McKinney). http://articles.latimes.com/1993-11-05/sports/sp-53479_1_robertson-piston-alvin
Fellow had some things he had to deal with. I believe he also spent the 1990 offseason in jail for spousal abuse.
And for anyone who was familiar with his human trafficking charges that'd been pending since 2010, he was found not guilty on all accounts last November. So there's that.

I'd heard about the first two incidents, but I never heard about the human trafficking thing. Damn.
