Lebron after 2011

Most hated athlete in the world at one time... Probably recorded human history

People didn't care enough about Kobe to hate him on the same level Lebron was hated... Simply because people didn't know him on the same level everyone knows Lebron... A household name

Plus they were just allegations, so everyone was doubting the legitimacy of the case anyways. Everyone knows hoes be about that dough.

The craziest thing is.. Lebron went from being possibly the most hated athlete in recorded human history.. to the most liked NBA player on the planet, in the span of about 1-2 years. It takes an alltime special type of athlete to have this sort of sway and impact on the world.

Compare this to Kobe who, don't get me wrong.. Has always been hated league wide/world wide by humanity... But he simply just wasn't well known enough to be hated as much as The King. You can't hate someone if you don't know who he is. Kobe's public perception has always been just about the same since he came into the league. Hated consistently for 2 decades.. But not enough for people to talk about it. Like an isolated pimple on clear skin. Or an annoying insect buzzing around you... No need to address it, because you know it'll **** off eventually.

Im Still Ballin
05-09-2016, 06:36 AM
Also, put it this way

Kobe was hated as a criminal. But he wasn't glorified so they're not going to talk about it. This isn't something you bring up at the family barbecue, or on your lunch break at work. Because you don't glorify a criminal.

Lebron was hated as something entirely different. Like a megalomaniac inhumane billionaire looking to up his profits... A developer destroying a sacred tropical island home to indigenous Polynesian populations, to build an industrial concrete world full of hotels and shopping malls... All completely legal. So hated, but completely legal. THAT'S someone people talk about who they hate. Not a criminal. Just an arrogant cocky powerful successful SOB. You can't stop him. The King.

Somehow Lebron deserves just as much hate for leaving a basketball team as Kobe does for raping a woman and cheating on his wife.

Obviously Kobe. He's hated by Shaq, MJ, Lebron, Kings, Blazers, Celtics fans...basically by half of the team fans in the league and by crazed stans of other legends, not to mention the negative rep he got for cheating on his wife.

Somehow Lebron deserves just as much hate for leaving a basketball team as Kobe does for raping a woman and cheating on his wife.

Kobetards...:facepalm

It was proven she was a liar, who accused him of rape to get his money...There was no substantial evidence to show that Kobe sexually assaulted her, plus it was proven that she had sex with other people that same night.

Lebron is only "hated" for colluding with Wade and Bosh in his prime. Other than that, it's just stan wars but the media and most of US loves him because he hasn't really had any troubles off-court and has been one of the top 5 players in the league for a decade now.

Kobe is just a semi famous basketball player

Lebron is a once in a generation basketball GOAT tier talent, BUT he is also a big time Hollywood actor, activist, humanitarian, businessman, entrepreneur, etc.

You can't compare these guys. Everyone knows Lebron

Lol. A lot of people don't know who Lebron james is.

Furthermore, I don't think Lebron has won enough to be as hated as Kobe, Tom Brady and etc.

Additionally, a lot of people are still fuming because they legitimately thought thought kobe wasn't gonna win anymore without Shaq.

Nba was popular in Europe ( also Turkey and some asia countries ) at Kobe's era .

Nba has not broadcast on majority of Europe and Ncaa was more popular than Nba at Lebron's era .

Curry came to save the league .

I hate Kobee too in his days . Everybody does . Lebron was just not a respectful guy .

Lebron.

Just two totally different eras and situation. The Kobe rape thing happened before twitter, and such things, which really fuels the hate from fan boys, and fuels the love that stans have for a player. The Kobe rape trial would get mentioned on the news, and people would make their conclusion more based on the facts that were presented to them, and less on emotions.

Lebron was the number one player in the world. At the time he was huge, with the media constantly debating whether he was as good as Michael. While back then Shaq was the best player in the world, along with others, and Kobe was viewed as a sidekick. This is the point where Kobe stans will get insulted, because how dare you say that Kobe wasn't worshiped as much as any player in history at that point. As a Kobe fan at the time, as a basketball fan, I would sometimes feel pride that thanks to the situation a lot more people who were getting to see more of Kobe, and replays of his moves.

Yep

It's Lebron UNANIMOUSLY

Not to Kobe's fault though. If more people knew who he was, perhaps they'd come to hate him too. But alas, you can't hate someone, if you don't know of someone.

Kobe by far.
The hate on him after the rape scandal was 10x worse than anything bron endured.
also, it's easier to hate on Kobe, coz he don't give no focks. Bron's a *****, and there's a natural reaction to symphatize with a ***** no matter how much you hate him.

kobe ****ed some white girl in the ass and she said it was "rape"

lebron acted like a coward and plays some ugly basketball

Kobe no question.

Hate because Shaq started the 'Let's hate Kobe' campaign and ESPN joined on that

Fake Rape accusations.

His whole damn 'Me against the world' personality between 2002 and 2006. Which helped the ESPN 'Let's hate on Kobe' era.

Lebron only had the Decision. His failure in 2011 was just everybody making fun of his pathetic failure.

Why would you say Lebron after 2011? They hated him right after the decision in 2010.

Kobe was only more hated by corporate sponsors and people who didn't watch basketball because they didn't know anything about Kobe except "the athlete that is accused of rape"

Kobe.

Shaq and Kobe feud , cheating on his wife/rape accusation, Smush and Kwame era, Dwight leaving LA after one year, post Achilles contract etc. Kobe gets sole blame for all of these incidents even though other parties were involved and did their share of the bullshit.

His own Coach even flat out hated him for awhile and they won 5 rings together. In comparison , Lebron is shitting on his Teammates on social media , firing his Coaches depending on the month, threatening to leave his franchise if they don't win it this year.....Again.

So on the one hand you have a man who's faced real adversity and hardship specifically in his adult life and on the path to the success of his professional career while the other is more or less a giant man child throwing hissy fits when shit doesn't go his way.

No comparison.

Not to mention by the time social media really started picking up, Kobe was liked and publicly well received

We’ve seen what James has done to rebuild his image after the travesty that was The Decision, the hour-long ESPN special in 2010 during which James announced that he was leaving his hometown team, the Cavaliers, for the Heat. It was a public-relations disaster from concept to execution, and from that point, James secured his place as the most-scrutinized athlete in the NBA, if not in all of American sports.

MORE: LeBron has trapped himself in Cleveland now

In 2011, he told ESPN, “Going through my first seven years in the NBA I was always the ‘liked one’ and to be on the other side — they call it the dark side or the villain or whatever they call it — it was definitely challenging for myself.” Even now, James finds that every comment, action and tweet he issues is parsed and analyzed — especially when he maybe gets his coach fired — and he still has a legion of detractors always eager to knock him down a peg.

James isn't No. 1 on this list because he's detestable. He's No. 1 because he inspires more angst than anyone in the history of the game. He turned himself into a villain with a single act. Would winning a title in Cleveland repair that image?

Ranked 1st

Kobe by far Lebron was loved up until "The Decision" summer of 2010. Kobe was getting hated on by Shaq fans for running him out of town, fake rape accusations, can't play with selfish ball hog Phil Jackson label Kobe as uncoacable in his first book, cancer, overrated can't win without Shaq, nobody wants to play with Kobe. Kobe was Barry Bonds of his era the media hated him with passion and had nothing good to say about him in news especailly ESPN that didn't like that Kobe was Jordan lite the closest player to their God known as Jordan. Dwight left LA because of Kobe. Kobe has haters with Shaq fans, Jordan stans, Lebron fans are the worst by far though. Kobe is most hated by far the ultimate villain in his era.

MiseryCityTexas

Kobe because Kobe had haters and critics ever since he was a rookie. Shaq didn't even like the Kobe trade on draft night because he felt like they already had Eddie Jones starting at shooting guard.

Kobe circa the rape allegations was by far the most hated player ive ever seen in the NBA. And ive been watching since 1968. The hate he received was unprecedented. Its a testament to his greatness he was able to have the great 2nd half of his career that he did after all that.

Kobe. He was left off of some peoples mvp ballot in 06 which is just inexcusable. The hate from 04-07 was off the charts.

Kobes been the old veteran in the social media era.

The young, confident, intelligent, tantalizing and polarizing black male he was in his prime got a much different reaction from social media, mostly from the whites (especially after he blew that ugly white hos pssy open) who have appreciated him more in the twilight of his career.
