Cavs would still be undefeated in the playoffs and probably have an even better regular season record. No one in NBA history has ever gotten to play with as many stacked teams as LeBron has...

Well Leonard(#2) is a better player than Lebron(#3) right now, but Lebron is the sole playmaker on the Cavs team. So nope, the Cavs will get worse if you replace Lebron by Leonard. Similarly the Spurs will get worse too by replacing Leonard with Lebron. Each fits into his team's system better than the other.

Well its true, Kawhi Leonard is a top 2 player in the league. Or more precisely, the No.2 player in NBA right below Stephen Curry, and the best player in NBA playoffs now that Curry goes down and will not be 100% until next season. Lebron is still top 3 in the league, but there is a bit of gap between him and Curry/Leonard.

1) Curry
2) Leonard
3) KD
4) Lebron

is fair. But right now I am not sure if Lebron is even the best player on his team.

I've seen this thread already, and I agree Lebron is a great player. But sorry, hes the 3rd best in NBA right now. I know Lebron has amazing +/- stats, but this only means that hes very important to his team. The importance of a player to his team is only one factor to determine the overall ranking of a player.

Due to the style Lebron plays, the way his team is built around him, and the fact that hes the only playmaker on the Cavs, this is to be expected. CP3 has an even better +/- stats, you dont think hes the best player in this league, dont you? Curry is down and GSW still keeps winning, do you think Curry is a worse player than many other NBA players that their teams rely more on?

Just as I said, Lebron fits better in the Cavs, and Leonard fits better in the Spurs. Lebron's playmaking skills are needed for the Cavs, especially with Irving being your point guard. His ballhogging will only be a hindrance for the Spurs, who rely on ball-movement and no Spurs player should hold on to the ball for too long. Different system, different players, different roles.

You can say that Lebron is more important to the Cavs than Leonard is to the Spurs, which I'd agree. However, as a player Leonard(#2) is better than Lebron(#3) right now, you need to accept this reality and chill.

3.Durant

Nah, i still dont believe you are serious.

Kawhi will have to first try be clearly the best player on his own team (Aldridge).

Kawhi has been better than Aldridge all season long, the fact that Aldridge plays better than him right now, doesnt mean Aldridge is a better player than Leonard. Aldridge is also a top 10 player in the league, so in a given series he can outplay Leonard, it is totally possible. Wade played better than Lebron in 2011 Finals, do you think Wade was better than Lebron then?
