So since Post purchased Dymatize a bunch of changes have been made to help the growth of our company. In the late summer of this year we'll be officially launching our rebranding. Unfortunately I can't show pictures of the new brand because we don't want early leaks of the new design to places like bodybuildong.com. I can tell you this. It will be a uniform cleaner look. All bottles have a "window" which allows you to look in and see how much powder inside. Also we are finishing up on a patent for a disposal bottle design that will change the energy drink game forever! Here's a pic of our old look and the new logo for "Get Dymatized":

Right now we're giving away free shirts to promote the relaunch of the brand: http://www.getdymatized.com/ no purchase necessary.

What do you think of the new logo? In your opinion do you think rebranding launches increase business? I'm pretty stoked to get this into market.

I hope I wasn't trying to come off as selling stuff. I know how agitated people get when I post about work related things. Just wanted to get people's opinions on rebranding and the look of our new logo.

But get at it! I kind of regret slacking off a bit. Summer is pretty much in full bloom. I'm the only one on the court that keeps his jersey on! lol.

Nah you're good.

Lol there's still plenty of time left. We play in indoor gyms out here in phoenix, way too hot to hoop outside.

Rebranding? Maybe. I can tell you that when we buy out smaller chain stores and convert them into our own, the sales increase by a shit ton.

But that's like a new company, so to speak. Going from store X to store Y as opposed to just changing a logo.

We are also changing the look of our product and marketing. Were focusing more on the health enthusiast as opposed to the body builder. The look is much cleaner and uniformed. Plus the new single serve energy drink we are launching is gonna change the game. This bottle is gonna launch us into a new category.
We're also a multi million dollar company and the largest international brand. We're not some small manufacturer. We're an established name in the game. I see a fresher look as a rebirth of an already successful line

One thing I wish we did more of (since we don't advertise, practically, ever) is do more direct marketing. You need to go after your target audience... which would be younger people.

I was working on a project with marketing a few weeks ago and found out you can get 1000 turns of 15 second ad on YouTube for like $20. You can even narrow that audience down to Male, 18-40, watches fitness videos, and on and on and on.

Hulu offers the same thing. That's how our generation sees ads. Not on billboards so much anymore (although I believe those will be timeless), definitely not on TV (DVR basically destroyed that), but through streaming videos.

I work for an industry leader myself  . We should exchange emails, maybe we can get our companies together on something. We sponsor a lot of fundraisers and charity events and host a few of our own, it'd be cool to see some of your products on banners around our events. Your target audience is essentially our target audience.

What area do you operate out of? I'm based mainly east coast and work my surrounding area.
Most of our marketing dollars are filtered into our clients. We also invest a ton into the IMG Academy which is for athletes that are prepping for profession sports. Events like what you are presenting are generally done through retail partnerships. We invest in the retailer and they would use your advertising channel.
But yeah, that would definitely be a cool venture!

Unfortunately no because I'm not a retailer. There is no added incentive by knowing me :lol Not even my family gets a discount
The link for a free t-shirt is all I got! Generally it's best to go through online like bb.com. Or chum up with a local retail place and give them your business. We are pretty liberal with our samples, but it usually is up to the distributor where they get allocated
Sorry, wish I could

I do, but how would I get it to you? And if I did then I'd get 20,000 ISH members asking for a sample too :lol I sure as hell am not paying out my own pocket for shipping to have ISH try my product

Best I can suggest is use a retailer that has a liberal return policy. GNC offers one as long as it is within reason. That's the beauty of shopping in store. You can take advantage of that policy

Yes, you can exchange within reason. Like a couple of scoops out the bottle. Just say it made you sick. We credit back our product to the retailer so you don't need to worry. But I haven't worked in GNC for 6 years so Idon't know if that policy still stands. I'm sure it does.

Honestly, I haven't tried another company's protein in years. I couldn't tell you which tastes the best. I have about 20lbs of protein in my own home I try and get through :lol
I would always suggest our iso100. BB.com rates it pretty high and we get good reviews on taste. It's a bit on the higher end, but it is a hydrolysed which gives it a lower calorie value. But go to a GNC and ask for samples. I'm sure they can set you up

I work at the corporate office. We have 1400 stores in the US and Canada.

My brother works for the golf channel, him and I have hooked our respective companies together for a number of projects.

How does "your" product compare with myprotein in terms of lab results and value? Myprotein goes on sale for ~4-6$/lb for their impact series.

I don't know much about the brand, but at that price you're not getting pure protein. That is half the material cost. It is likely amino spiked. But if it works for you then go for it.

OH SHIT.

http://www.amazon.com/Dymatize-Super-Mass-Gainer-Chocolate/dp/B0015QSZ32/ref=sr_1_2_s_it?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1462912420&sr=1-2&keywords=super+mass+gainer

That's the shit I was going to buy before the ON Serious Mass Weight Gainer. Should I get it? My ON bag is running low and they're both respectfully $50.

How do they compare? The Dynmatize Super Gainer is 1300 calories (2 scoops) while the one I have currently ON has 1250 (2 scoops)

I did gain about 8lbs but I doubt it was from the weight gainer alone. How do the stats compare versus one another?

of course, it matters most what's in the inside, but some new packaging/design never hurts! interested to see how the window thing will work, i assume it should not affect/degrade shelf life?

random question, thoughts on the JYM brand?

Big fan of Dymatize Iso-100. Taste is decent. Have 3 tubs of ISO-100 that I got on sale. Perfect macros for cutting which is why I use it. However if I wasn't cutting only whey I'd take is MTS Whey Gourmet Cookies n Cream. Shit is beyond amazing.

Calorie value is nearly the same. I'd say the main difference is Super Mass is gluten free and less added filler. Based on calorie consumption you'll get the same results. But if you're looking at less fillers go with Super Mass. In the end you have to take it. Sometimes it comes down to taste.

Also the window won't oxidize the product. It's the temperature it's stored and if any condensation penetrates through. It's not a big enough window for any sunlight to alter it

It's technically a berry blend. I'm not a huge fan of it. To me any berry tastes a little synthetic. I would recommend the sugar cookie. It's a really sweet vanilla. Blend that with actual strawberries and it taste like peaches and cream

Oh shit. You're right. I can't believe I almost bit the bullet and went with anything other than chocolate. Experimenting with protein flavors out of boardism is a great way to go through the next few weeks or months in hell. :lol
