Huge achievement if he pulls it off, but yeah... voters just get bored of the narrative. He will have to replicate this year statistically (or come damn close) to stave off the groupthink mentality to "give it to the new guy on the block". If Kawhi has a monster year next year he could easily get it simply because he hasn't won yet.

Thing is, Curry is the best scorer in the game. And they'll win as many games as they want yet again. Probably somewhere around 66-69 wins and another 1 seed. I think he threepeats (if he wants).
