View Full Version : Where did the term "Hero Ball" come from all of a sudden?

I've heard this uttered at least 5 times the past couple days by different commentators and analysts. The definition is self-explanatory, but come on....

"OKC needs to stop playing Hero Ball if they have a chance to win."

It's only Hero Ball when the shots don't fall...

been used for years, basically whenever a perimeter player takes a lot of shots and or iso's a lot.

Last season TNT tried to market Hero Ball as a positive thing. :oldlol:

I remember noticing it a lot in the first year of the Doc/Big 3 Celtics. Rivers referenced it plenty along with his ubuntu crap.
