I think its a product of this social media age...

There was more pressure on an unanimous voting this time than before, with everybody knowing the shit that guy got who voted for Anthony in 2013.

Shaq 120/121 votes in 2000
James 120/121 votes in 2013 (shit storm, social media age)

^ that wasn't gonna repeat iself, even if this year wasn't any more of a convincing unanimous MVP campaign than those.

Curry is easily one of the 3-5 greatest players I've watched LIVE and in REAL time.

BEST offensive player since Jordan, IMO.

definitely deserving - for it not to be unanimous would be crazy

this does bring up the question, however, will we take season MVPs into consideration of a players greatness again, or will it remain arbitrary? :confused shrug:

Its official that Kawhi Leonard is the 2nd best player in NBA, ahead of Lebron who is now the 3rd best. The WCF will feature a battle between the top 2 players in the league.

Even did a control/f search for names like Aldridge and Love, quite disappointing. 3rd places for Lowry and Lillard were the oddest ones I could found too.

To me it's less surprising how good he is, but that he's made such a massive improvement from the age of like to 26 to 28. Usually players don't get that much better in their prime years, but that the circumstances around a player change so they win more or less. But in addition to his team getting better, Curry has gotten SO MUCH better it's almost unreal.

I would say that his peak is top 3 offensively in the past 25 years. Jordan, Shaq and Curry. That's incredible considering he wasn't even on the map two years ago.

Congrats on a well deserved unanimous MVP. Now go win that trophy and FMVP :applause:

What dinguses.

It's like those MLB HOF voters who never let anyone in.

It's like, shut the fvck up you aren't smart or interesting.

Unless I guess the whole idea is to get you name heard and mentioned. Then it's a good idea. But a cheese ass way to do that.

Definitely one of the most spectacular individual regular seasons we've ever seen. It seemed like he was just toying with the league at times.

There were all these great players who had phenomenal seasons and they were all afterthoughts because of his dominance.

Not a big fan but gotta give props where it's due. Salute to him.

Based on the results of the MVP voting there is pretty much no chance that anybody on the dubs wins FMVP besides Curry if they win the title again. Everybody in the media has joined the Curry bandwagon.

This is pretty nice but plenty of guys should have been unanimous MVP's. Just off the top of my head...

Wilt in 1967
Kareem in 1971
Bird in 1986
Magic in 1987
Jordan in 1996
Shaq in 2000
Lebron in 2013

Not saying it's not a great achievement but it's not THAT big of a deal. Wilt and Kareem got voted in by their fellow players by the way.

I do think this is a positive in that the voters have a better handle on this stuff. Writers used to vote for guys they liked. And while it has been better recently it should be noted that Melo stole a vote from LBJ in 2013. MELO. Sometimes trolls just ruin things. The Skip Baylesses of the world have WAY too much sway.

A vote? Try LBJ stealing the ROTY award from Melo.

Anyone who cares about RotY is an idiot. Ditto for 6th man. Or Most Improved.

If anyone actually believed that Melo was more deserving of an MVP vote 3 years ago they should be stripped of any NBA related vote. And writing privileges. And I should be able to put him on ignore so nothing he ever says or writes makes it to me ever again.

Huge accomplishment, but ultimately meaningless with regards to comparisons to Shaq's 2000 and Lebron's 2013 seasons. The only difference this year is that you didn't have a lone fpaggot assed sportswriter who wanted to be a contrarian dipshit.
