He 100% deserves the award but he's not the most valuable and important player to their team if that makes any sense. I think they should change it to Most Outstanding Player.

The Warriors have guys that can help make up for what he brings on offense and on defense they don't get any worse if you take him away.

They would never reach the ridiculous peak they're at right now but their dropoff without him wouldn't be as bad compared to some of the other teams without their best player. The Curry-less Warriors would probably still be better than all but 3 teams in the league.
