View Full Version : What if Curry stopped being humble, acted more like LeBron/Kobe?
Would he be more respected? Lose fans?

He's humble?
Not for the past year, ever since he realized he was on legend level.

Another what if.
What if Lebron was still relevant?
What if I never saw KG at a photo shoot make 15 half court shots in a row...and walk off the court. Would that mean that he didn't do it if I didn't see it?

I would say he's less humble but has a squeaky clean image for now.
Lebron thinks very highly of himself but it's harder to stay humble when you have been told since 14 you are the next great thing.

Currys more like lebrin personality wise. Chirpy happy sort of dude who is fun to be around.
Kobes like a super serious intimidating type.
Curry has every right to smile and jump around right now. People often mistake arrogance with unconditional belief in themselves
Na he's humble. What makes ya'll think he ain't humble? His shot celebration? Oh please. He's having fun. Does he talk shit on/off the court? Throws teammates under the bus? Coaches? Staff? Management?

He's no longer humble. And he shouldn't be. Dude is playing at an all time level and it is BECAUSE of his swagger.

He speaks humbly to the media but his behaviour tells me he thinks he's a badass, which is exactly what he is.

"Na he's humble. What makes ya'll think he ain't humble? His shot celebration? "
Yes, dancing around all the time has always been criticized. Why should it be any different for Curry?
"Does he talk shit on/off the court?"
Yes
"Throws teammates under the bus? Coaches? Staff? Management?"
That is irrelevant in a conversation about cockiness. It would be more relevant in a conversation about being a good teammate and loyalty.
Anyway, i'm still a fan. But he is not humble.

Yes.
As for the other stuff, obviously not since his team keeps winning.

Can you be humble yet obnoxiously arrogant at the same time?
Dunno, I'm not a trained psychologist

If Steph isn't a humble athlete than nobody who plays the game is.
Dam. The little shit he does pisses you guys off? The ton of shit Bron & Kobe must of have done has got to be the extreme. I honestly want Curry to be an asshole. Take shit to the next level. Call people out. Start putting players below him. Just completely shit on the NBA.

why not?
why not?
What does being humble do for any player? Kawhi Leonard the most humble, if not most one of the very, doesn't get recognized by many. Being a dominant, vicious and mean player that backs up his trash talk with game only propels revenue and player value. Kobe excelled at it.
Curry should do a 360.
