I thought it was valuable time wasted that could have been used shooting FT's. :confusedshrug:

He needs to play with Durant and Westbrook. He's washed up right now, but he can still be a serviceable center for a contending team.

It was very compelling tv. TNT would get crazy ratings if they had a player on each week to do this with.
My takeaways:
- Dwight is definitely leaving and GS seems to be his first choice
- I like that he called Chuck out for his comments lol
- It was clearly a PR stunt to kickoff his FA

There's the interview. Thought Dwight carried himself very well and I was happy Chuck and Kenny were not scared to ask bold questions and offer quality advice.
He couldnt have done better. Natural on TV, but we all knew that already.

Dwight is a good guy. I only hate him after the Magic eliminated the Cavs in 2009. but overall he's a decent fellow. He's also a womanizer like Jordan, Kobe, and LeBron.

He needs to come to the Spurs where they will utilize his talents. Duncan can retire or come off the bench.

PR putting it out there that he is back training already.
Will opt out and sign the biggest deal offered.
Sounded like complete bullshit when he brought up how terribly upset he was when they lost this year. :oldlol:

He doesn't have the burning desire needed to be that champion.
He might be able to piggy back an already great team to a championship, but his skillset, poor free throw shooting and inconsistent effort will always hold him back.

nothing but a PR stunt
says he's dedicated to winning
says he's already working out and getting in the best shape of his life
promises to dominate from pre-season to end of season
it wasn't genuine :kobe:

I think that Dwight really believes that he is a first option. That's the problem, he's not. He's not even a legit second option.
He would be terrific as a third option though, his defense is still good and he can still rebound well.

Dude contradicted himself. Said all he cares about winning but also said he feels the need to get involved in the offense. Which is it? So if teams ask you to do what you do best (rebound and defense), you're going to not give your best?

Personally, enjoyed it.
Glad Kenny and Chuck were giving him tough love advice and kept it real.

I don't know but age changes you. I believe the best advice he got was from Chuck and Kenny talking about this is his last big contract and last chance to redeem the legacy he has.
30 years old. Still a 15-11 player on his worst day. I believe he has been in the gym and will have a better season. I also believe he's got to get back to the basics of basketball. He used to have a hook shot and was able to score on things other than dunks.

yeah obviously it was a PR move and somewhat contrived. but it was nice hearing some insight from an actual player and former players, regarding the current make-up of the NBA and how to approach free agency.

Bringin his talents to South Beach.
only way Riley even considers him is if the Heat have confirmation Whiteside is not staying in Miami early on - which is unlikely to happen, as Miami's 1st priority is locking in Whiteside.
Washington is also an OK fit since they're losing Nene - would be ideal if they could ditch Beal and pick up KD and D12. would be crazy squad, however, if KD loses this year - he's Miami bound :D
D12
Polish :hammerhead:
KD
filler
Wall
however, I think he settles in his hometown ATL, replaces Horford and they also sign a SF like Batum or Courtney Lee, i'd even take on Matt Barnes as consdieration
D12
Milsap
Batum or Barnes
Korver
Teague/Shroder
much improved to me

LOL at the end:
The decision you make will change your life forever. It will change humanity's perceptions of your existence on this Earth and your value on it for eons til the Apocalypse. But hey, you still gotta go get as much money as possible because it's your last chance at a big contract. But don't forget, go win a championship or else people will always think you're a smiling POS.
I don't see any championship caliber team willing to pay him a huge multiyear contract. He'll end up on a playoff team but everybody knows there's only 3 or 4 contenders in basketball

It was super uncomfortable. Dwight handled it as well as he could though.

Houston would've probably had a longer play-off run if the Rockets woulda gave Dwight, Beasely and D-Mo a lot more touches in the post. Beasely might leave too.

Loved it.. genuine and pretty honest for an NBA player of his caliber in the middle of a contract.
