Of course what he's saying makes sense and numerous people here have made the same argument, even the guys that can't stand him. But if Lebron says the sky is blue his detractors are going to say it's pink. Let's just move this along.

He's not wrong.
He's more valuable to the Cavs than Curry is to the Warriors. Same with PG and the Pacers, Wade and the Heat, etc.

Lol He's salty, but that's fine. I like it when athletes are candid and keep it real.

I get that it maybe shouldn't ALWAYS be "Best player on best team," but please don't try to make the MVP an "All Star surrounded by scrubs" award.

Can you read? I was responding directly to what Lebron said.
I like the current system, and Curry clearly deserved the MVP.
Not unanimously though, especially if MJ, 2000 Shaq, and 2013 Lebron didn't do it.

Who cares about the MVP award, anyway. It's only a collection of subjective thoughts of a group of people. Oh, yay, a bunch of sports writers like steph curry. Hand him a cupcake while you're at it

Him actually admitting that Curry is the best player in the game, but not necessarily the most valuable to his team, was what surprised me.
I thought he was gonna go the other direction, saying that Curry was the MVP, but may not be the best player in the league.

Lebutthurt as fck :lol what he did last year is the best he can do as far as stats wise. The only thing he can do is improve his fg% which means more stiff arms, travels and repetitive stat padding leak out layups/dunks.

Curry doesn't need any further motivation, but he has gotten a lot of whiteboard material in the last few days.
Say your prayers, its going to get ugly!

You can combine 2 or 3 players and create a lebron but you cant with curry or kobe. So lebron maybe more impactful coz he tries to do everything but hes not more valuable. And thats what insecures do. Try to do everything to overcome their shortness in the clutch. He knows hes not better than kobe so he statpads to fool those who only judge players based on stats

Me too. I wish they talked more shit to one another, everyone knows the players and teams hate each other. Hopefully we get this final, the interviews are going to be amazing. :applause:

Hate to say it but I agree with Bron somewhat. Kobe was the best in the business without a doubt for a stretch of at least 5 years (other years debatable) yet he got 1 MediaMVP. Shaq the same from 98-2002. That award is not a measure of who's the best in the league, even if at certain years it aligns correctly. It's no rocket science and Lebron knows it. In 09 he admitted to being lesser than Kobe despite his MVP award. He's consistent in that.
His stans however - they live in a different reality than his idol.

2006-08 are the only years Kobe was "clearly" the best.
Don't be stupid enough to believe he was "undoubtably" the best in 2009-10. All metrics and stats would say otherwise.
