All I see are dudes giving up and playing half ass defense. Where are all the hard fouls and hand checking???

Steve Kerr, the coach of the PRESENT NBA CHAMPS agrees with Hubie:

Nice Showtime compilation!!! That is a highlight reel of the greatest fast break team with the GREATEST PG OF ALL TIME leading the attack!!!

Go look at the 1988 Finals in their entirety if you want to see a team TRY to stifle their fast paced attack with physicality and still, SHOWTIME WON!

I was trolling you a little bit lol, kinda disappointed you didn't take the bait.

Anyway let me make a civil point to you, with you being a Magic fan. Magic did things no one had ever seen. He was an incredibly skilled passer (probably the best ever), but also had the ability to score when he needed and could put a team on his back (ala 91) that way as well.

But watching that video, something was familiar. The opponents give up when Magic makes his great passes. They don't feel like there is a way to stop it. They don't play all the way to the shot because they've seen it again and again and AGAIN...Magic makes a brilliant pass and you get scored on.

Steph has the same effect on his opponents. When he lets the shot go and is open, they don't even close out on him. They trap him at mid court because he will nail a 40 footer more often than than some shoot corner 3's. They blitz him and he passes out of the double to Draymond and either Klay or Barnes get an open corner 3. There isn't a defense for him.

You as Magic fan should appreciate how similar Steph's shooting is to Magic's passing. Neither of them are great defenders, neither of them are ridiculous athletes, both of them play(ed) on very good, well rounded teams that fit them perfectly.

I follow the NBA on Facebook. I saw a comment today that summed up the mentality with younger dudes now.

He basically said why risk injury driving the lane when you can just shoot a three? More points and less strain on the body.

Let that comment sink in fellas.

What's wrong with that?

More points and less injuries, sounds like a positive concept on all fronts!

Curry a beast but he would retire early due to injury if he woulda played in the90s era because the game was a lot more physical back then. I remember when PJ Brown body slamed Charlie Ward, and Ward got up as if nothing happened. Curry probably would've died that night if he was in that same situation going up against PJ Brown in a fight in the middle of the play-offs.

If David Thompson would've played in today's era before the drugs, he would've been just as good as D Wade.
