The problem with OKC is that while they have two top 5 players, one of them is an passive-aggressive little b.itch. And the other one while insanely talented, is one of the dumbest players in the league.

Every supporting cast is bad unless you're the team winning it all. That's the way whiny ISH treats today and all of history. It's just the way it is. That coincidence is always there. It's never been that that teams leader had enough help and just wasn't good enough and/or better then someone else.

Gotta give props to the supporting cast in this series. Doesn't change the narrative coming into this series and the playoffs, though, that OKC's supporting cast is subpar. Waiters was mostly hot garbage against good teams all season long. He'd feast four or five games in a row against subpar competition then usually shit the bed against top flight teams. Kanter was almost always at least above average, and usually good to great, offensively but more often than not his defense was a huge detriment. It hasn't been as much in this series because the Spurs don't have the bigs with the quickness nor do they have the pick-n-roll threats to really abuse him on a consistent basis.

Of course now that I've posted this, I'm sure Waiters will come out chucking tonight, shoot something like 3/13 from the floor with 3-4 turnovers, and Kanter will get roasted on defense.

Don't forget Adams. Dude been killing us as well. Truth is, boys, OKC is STACKED as hell. Even Barkley, who has won prime time Emmy's for his great analytics, said he thought OKC was the deepest team in the league. Looks like he was right.

Adams has been OKC's third best player all year. I was just addressing the two "feast or famine" role players that are usually the difference in OKC being elite and really good.

I wouldn't say the Thunder are deep, but guys are certainly stepping up. Steven Adams has impressed me a ton these playoffs and I've even seen Kanter play defensive every now and then

I mean, with the late acquisition of Foye, Waiters not playing like dog shit, and Cameron Payne turning out to be a great prospect, sure, but let's be real, they really don't have much support, they just happen to stepping up at the right time.

I like how Adams has taken on the role that Perkins had. He's a leader in his own right, unafraid of putting his own teammates in place, including Westbrook.

The Thunder supporting cast is not weak. How about Westbrook, who should actually be considered part of the "supporting cast", just not constantly play like a dumbass, and Kevin Durant speak up and not let Westbrook play like a dumbass as well? Those two have actually done a good job this series and have actually played closer to the optimal level this team should play at. That doesn't mean their supporting cast was weak, more like this series they've actually been utilized better.

Yeah, almost. Props to the Thunder for making it this far and push the Spurs to game 7, it was a respectful performance.

how is it bad?

Adams 10/12 67% shooting
Ibaka 12 ppg on 54% shooting with 57% from 3
Kanter 9/8 1.2 bpg on 49% shooting in 22 mpg

They have arguably the best frontcourt in the league if you also add in KD

Spurs are getting killed on the boards, OKC has a 35 rebound advantage in the 5 games so far

If Russ shot better they could have won in 5 against a team that won 67 games..

Pretty much.
