Kobe has led the league in FGA totals 6 times and points totals 4 times
He led the league in FGA per game 4 times
Lebron led the league in FGA per game in 07-08, Melo in 12-13 while Kobe led in total FGA those years because he played more games
Why compare totals with averages?

4 seasons of leading the league in total points, twice in ppg
scoring titles aren't based on total points, Harden had more points than Curry this season but Curry won the scoring title due to ppg.

good point.
Only 2/4, damn.. still kinda ugly for someone who's already a volume scorer.

He won 5 titles playing the way he did, what does it matter in the long run?
Magic won 5 titles being the ultimate team player, Kobe won 5 being a cancer/chucker/rapist
in the end it's still 5 titles :applause:

was about to post this, why in the world would you compare total FGA to ppg and not total points

2nd alltime in 60 point games
3rd all time in 50 point games
3rd alltime in 40 point games
Top 3 only behind MJ and Wilt. The gap between him and the 4th are huge. 40 point games (Kobe 121, Baylor 88), 50 point games (Kobe 25, Baylor 14). Only MJ, Wilt, Kobe, and Baylor scored 60 points multiple times in NBA history.

You don't even know this :oldlol:
Harden led the league in points
Curry led the league in points per game
Curry won the scoring title
Kobe would have 4 scoring titles if it was based on total points and not points per game

this dude just said 2 for 4 is bad for a guy who is a "volume scorer"
then what must he think about 2 for 6 for a guy who is supposed to be a "winner"

Yes I did. That's why I asked sarcastically.
The league recognizes scoring titles.....not total points scored in a season.

Right.
But why make a thread about comparing field goal attempt totals to points per game then?

And yet hes only a 24.9 ppg career scorer on 44.7%fg :lebronamazed:
Curry and bran are miles ahead of him as scorers that it isn't even funnt. Curry, in particular, is so far ahead of Kobe that it's insulting putting Kobe in the same sentence as him offensively.

Curry has what, ONE great scoring season to his name at age 27?
Curry is a career 22 ppg scorer after his peak year, let's see if he can sustain this over the next few years and we can have a legitimate debate.

20 season average including his first couple years where he was too young and his later years filled with season ending injuries
2000-01 to 2012-13:
28.1 ppg on .454/.336/.841
If we're just going to go by career number then let's take a look...
Kareem - 24.6
Bird - 24.3
Shaq - 23.7
Wade - 23.7
Dirk - 22.0
Curry - 22.4
Hakeem - 21.8
How many players averaged 28 in a 13 year stretch?

My guess is only Jordan, Wilt and Kobe
Durant will come close though

MJ's 13 year Bulls career is at 31.6
Wilt's 13 year career is 30.1
Durant 8 seasons after his rookie year gives him 28.4
Lebron 12 seasons after his rookie year gives him 27.7
Kareem 1970-82 gives him 27.8
West's 13 year career is at 27.0
Baylor's 13 year career is at 27.4
AI 1997-09 is at 27.1
That's probably right

Iverson: 4 scoring titles, 4 times leading the league in FGA
Jordan: 10 scoring titles, 9 times leading the league in FGA
It doesn't list FGA per game, but the 1988-89 season when Jordan was 2nd, he had less FGA per game than Alex English (who scored more points in the 80s than anyone else).
