A car switching lanes to get around you and ending up at the same stoplight in the very next lane.
Hold this L, big boy.

The similarities between this series and the 2014 Rockets series is amazing.
All-time great back to back games to start the series, and then meh the rest of the way.

He's slow. I could seriously see him melting away as the series went on.

Because circumstance had nothing to do with that. Any one of the 17 other playoff teams could beat the Clippers without CP3 and Blake.

Dude is soft as butter. If his turnaround jumper isn't falling, as it didn't after Game 2, he's largely useless to a team.
If Timmy is retiring, the Spurs will need to find a big man with some grit and toughness. A defensive presence and rebounder, or they'll be a 2nd round and done team for a while.

In his first year as a Spur, Aldridge made it to G6 of the Western Conference Semifinals, which is further than the Trailblazers have gone in the playoffs in the last 17 years.

Good one, it would be great if Pops, TD, Parker and Manu all retire this summer, then Horford and Pau joins Portland and the Blazers go deeper than the Spurs next playoffs.

5 million or 15 million, it's a W either way.
But it proves that you should ALWAYS TAKE THE MONEY. Yes he's still a millionaire, but he gave up on the loyal Portland fanbase to chase rings on the Spurs and it's going to cost him money. He also signed for 5 years so he can't get the new max until 3 more years when he has the option to opt out, and he'll be 30 by then so who knows if he'll even be good enough to get that type of a deal.
Arenas has been retired from the league for a while now and got paid 20 mil this year for doing nothing.

People have this mindset and then wonder why their teams are good for like 5 years max and then hit the lottery again.

Spurs didn't win titles off paycuts, Duncan took the paycut this off-season and the best his team got was 2 wins in the second round.
Dirk took a paycut and hasn't got out of the first round since.
Wade took a paycut thinking Lebron would stay and instead it led to Bosh getting the max and Dragic getting 5 yrs/80mil :oldlol:
Unless your team is sure to sign a superstar player or is one piece away from a championship, paycuts don't mean crap. Lakers had 40 mil cap space last year despite Kobe's contract and no one came, didn't matter one bit.
It made sense for Duncan to take the pay cut to get Aldridge but as you can see, championships/Finals runs aren't guaranteed. Owners are happy to pay their players less but it's stupid to think a player shouldn't take the max when he has the option to. Love and Thompson got paid this off-season and Cavs are going to the Finals at worst, no pay cuts needed.

WRONG
I hate to sh*t on legends but Duncan and ginobili are done. They have nothing left to give as far as playing goes. Great mentors though but its just over man. Duncan had a clear path to the basket.......should have been an easy 2...took him like an hour and soon as he got there ibaka decapitated him.lol
Timmy of old would have posterized ibaka and Duncan was never a high flyer but the juice in the legs are gone.
I agree spurs need a big man but its not because of Aldridge....spurs aren't stupid...they knew what they were getting when they got Aldridge...they know he isn't a defensive guy....they just IMO put a lil too much faith in Duncan that his old legs would be able to hold up and anchor the defense. Its a wrap for him and ginobili.....
