Against a historically great defensive team with the 2x, reigning DPOY. Green was his primary defender, but Kawhi guarded him for long stretches, too.

Regardless, he stepped up big in a closeout/series clinching game...again. He was up-and-down this series, and has been up-and-down the entire playoffs.

But he stepped up huge in game four with 41 points and an epic 4th quarter, and dropped another 37 points in game six on excellent efficiency against an elite defensive team.

Actually, Kawhi was on GOATbrook for much of the series and got dominated by a 6'3 PG.. Best defender in the league tho :lol

But yeah KD was great tonight... Mirrored his 39/16 performance in the close out game vs Clippers in 2014

Kevin The Great Durant. I hope OKC beat the Warriors.

Yeah, but the last few games, Kawhi guarded Durant for stretches and it seems like he was on Durant quite a bit in crunch time. I know Kawhi guarded him a lot in the fourth quarter of game 4 when Durant went off for 41 and scored 17 in the 4th.

But yeah, Kawhi was Westbrook's primary defender and Green was Durant's primary defender.

Every lebron fan's wish. I'm sure Lebron is hoping for it too.

ANOTHER excellent performance in a close out game. Ridiculous how often he steps up with huge games. It's expected though. BPITW

12 of which came on free throws, which was almost as much as the entire San Antonio team. But that's normal, carry on.

He needs to step more often though. KD made back to back turnovers when the Spurs got close. The game was still in danger until Goatbrook score 7 points in a row and close the series.

People trying to knock Kawhi's defense ... Westbrook shot like what? 36% for this series. Kawhi did fine, but he's not the sort of player who can truly score at will, like other elite all stars.

Great player, but he's not on the level of KD and Westbrook.
