Kobe Bryant:
2015: 17.6 PER, 0.2 winshare, missed playoffs
2016: 14.9 PER, -0.4 winshare, missed playoffs
Tim Duncan:
2015: 22.6 PER, 9.6 winshare, lost first round
2016: 16.9 PER, 5.2 winshare, lost second round
I am sorry, why are Kobe fans bashing Duncan? What has Kobe achieved in the past 5 years except getting swept in 2011 and missing playoffs rest of the years.

Duncan was also older. Compare age 36 and 37 Duncan to Kobe's last 2 years and it is a slaughter.

How did Kobe have a negative winshare?

Tim obviously had more impact, but he also never suffered a debilitating injury like Kobe did at his advanced age.

Good point! Duncan was also older. But wait, wasn't kobe playing on a surgically repaired Achilles? Nah. Thats an excuse right? :facepalm :banghead:

At 37, Duncan was putting up 30 pts 17 rebounds performances in nba finals. At 38 he was winning titles.
Meanwhile, at 37 Kobe is shooting 37% for the season:roll: :roll: :roll:

at the end of the day Kobe owns Duncan head to head. In 2008, Bynum didnt even play and Ariza avg like 10 mpg due to injury and Kobe still punked Duncan.

Kobe destroyed Duncan that year (and 08 Kobe was the perfect blend of scoring, maturity and better defenses than the previous years), but :oldlol: at you using the team.
In that WCF Manu was injured and averaged 12/3 (after a 20 PPG Regular Season). Tony was healthy but the rest of the team consisted of:
Brent Barry (36)
Bruce Bowen (36)
Michael Finley (35)
Kurt Thomas (35)
Ime Udoka (30)
Robert Horry (37)
Jacque Vaughn (33)

Lakers were just as bad. You want Sasha, Farmar, Luke Walton coming off your bench. I bet most people rather have Bowen, Kuert Thomas, and Udoka.

Tony Parker that series = 19ppg on 52% TS
Manu = 13 ppg on 52% TS
Pau Gasol = 13ppg on 47% TS
Odom = 13 ppg on 48% TS
Kobe = 29ppg on 59% TS
Duncan = 22ppg on 47% TS
4th quarter scoring
Kobe = 10ppg on 54%
Duncan = 6ppg on 38%
So not only did Duncan get better production from his 2 other leading scorers than Kobe did, but Duncan himself was scoring significantly less than Kobe with significantly less effiency..
And the then you look at 4th quarters lol, Kobe outperformed Duncan by a mile.
And do you really want to talk about teams? We had Vlad Ramanovic starting.. And the 6th/7th men were Sasha Vucevic and Jordan Farmar.

Achilles injury so this is irrelevant anyway. Kobe could've made a run at the all-time point total if he hadn't gotten injured.

Haters continue to exploit the worst injury in sports as their main argument.
Sign of desperation. Sign of total lack of class.
Duncan at 34: 13.4 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 2.7 apg, 1.9 bpg, 50.0 fg%
Kobe at 34: 27.3 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 4.7 apg, 1.4 spg, 46.3 fg%

How did Kobe have a negative winshare?
He was so bad that his 17 win team was worse with him in the lineup. Think about that.
Beans in his last season was the worst marquee player the league has ever seen.

Which all helped to make the final game in to a legendary moment.

This is true.
But it's partially circumstantial. No ATG has ever ended his career playing so bad on a team that was so bad.

How many 60 point games did Duncan have in that span? Let alone his career:roll:
I wonder how pitifully Duncan would've fared with the trash Kobe's been surrounded with these past 2 years as well as the injuries

You are so F*cking stupid. Shaq owned the Spurs in their first 3 peat. Shaq was the Alpha Male when he was beating those Teams.
Not a huge fan of Team Duncan, but at least he won 3 NBA titles as the no.1 option of his team.
