Grew way easier. Yielded way more.

Super strain of wheat.

Wheat makes you more hungry.

Helped to turn us into the fat asses we are today.

makes sense.

we've been doing the same kind of thing with all our crops, going back to the dawn of agriculture.

Making us more hungry and less healthy.

The u.s. Eats more and has less nutrients because of this strain.

Wheat is a eating stimulant. Makes you wanna eat more.

We fat and a lot of it has to do with this strain.

People are fat in developed nations like U.S., UK and Australia because food is plentiful and people have no self control, it's instinct to eat, it's not instinct to moderate in times of plenty. That is a discipline that has to be learned. Stop blaming the food.

this is pretty much true of most modern grains, and probably lots of fruits and vegetables.

not only are they more calorically dense, they have a higher glycemic index.

so, not only do they not promote satiety as well as they did hundreds or thousands of years ago, but they also give us a blood sugar boost that can be addictive. not to mention, an elaborate system has been set up to make modern food hyper-available to us at all times, completely different from the situation modern humans actually evolved through.

all of these factors together combine to create a world of food addicts and food junkies.

at the same time, these huge leaps forward in food technology have gone hand in hand with the rapid development of civilisation and the spread of humanity all over the world.
