If my life depended on it, my choice would be Duncan.

1. Most impact on both sides of the floor
2. Consistently excellent - least likely to have a bad night or if he does, will contribute in other ways.

I know one guy who will be overwhelmed by the pressure on that list :lol

He'll be the anti MJ and force shots up and continue bricking

It really depends on the supporting casts. But...

1) Durant
2) Curry
3) Wade
4) Duncan/Kobe
6) Melo

MJ without question.

Also, isn't LeBron statistically and record wise one of the best G7 performers?

Kobe in Game 7s: 22/8/5 on 39%.
Bron in Game 7s: 34/8/3 on 46%.

You're just as washed up as your idol.

Seeing that list makes me realize how great Lebron is. I have no clear favorite since nobody stands out or has had bunch of epic playoff games with their back against the wall.

Probably prime Wade though.

Against the 08 Celts in a do or die game 7?? I'd take Duncan. He's gonna at least neutralize KG and be the anchor for my defense.

If we're taking these players at any point in time in their careers, Curry still should be #1. If we're talking the Boston Celtics, prime Wade would tear that defense up no questions asked; but KD should be considered #2 with everyone else's spot being subjective

joking aside, lebron being 5-47 disqualifies him from being clutch.

2002 game 5 vs SEA 23.9 pts 9 rebs 3 asst 7 blks 47.4% 120 ORtg 95 DRtg

2005 game 7 vs DET 25 pts 11 rebs 3 asst 2 blks 37% 120 ORtg 88 DRtg

2006 game 7 vs DAL 41 pts 15 rebs 6 asst 3 blks 50% 127 ORtg 123 DRtg

2008 game 7 vs NOH 16 pts 14 rebs 3 asst 1 stl 29.4% 83 ORtg 91 DRtg (was sick during this series - scored 5 points in one game/had fluids through IV iirc)

2013 game 7 vs MIA 24 pts 12 rebs 2 asst 4 stl 1 blk 55.8% 113 ORtg 97 DRtg

2014 game 7 vs DAL 15 pts 8 rebs 1 asst 2 blks 87.5% 143 ORtg 105 DRtg (23 pt blowout - didn't play much)

2015 game 7 vs LAC 27 pts 11 rebs 1 asst 68.8% 148 ORtg 125 DRtg

Well, I take back what I posted previously about Duncan being consistently excellent in game 7s(5s). He's been wildly INCONSISTENT in games 7 (or 5) - from 41 points to 15 points , from 15 rebounds to 8, from 6 assists to 1, from 7 blocks to 0, from 4 steals to 0, from 87.5% FG to 29.4%. I'd still take him though.

If it's who I would want over the course of an entire game 7:

Wade
Curry
Duncan
Durant/Kobe
Kobe/Durant
Melo

If it's strictly about the last 2-3 minutes of the game:

Curry
Kobe
Wade
Durant
Duncan
Melo

At their peaks

Melo
Curry
Kobe
Wade
Duncan
Durant

Anyone with Melo below 3 is a pure hater. At his peak Melo would probably be top 10 all time as far as clutch goes.

Among those list I got Kobe. Seen him hit crazy tough clutch shots in his career. Then followed by either Curry or Durant. I'm most impressed with Wade's defense down the stretch. Then Duncan. Melo is the least clutch among them.

I am sorry but you do not get a pass just cause you're old. And his percentages in clutch weren't that good even in his prime. He just made a bunch cause he took a bunch.

Duncan is my answer here.

I keep thinking back to game 7 on 05. He didn't shoot very well but against a team like those Pistons or the 08 Celtics, where pressure is really ramped up, no offensive star is going to shoot very well.

Duncan offered so many other things in that scenario and brought it home.

Kobe is a poor mans version of Jordan in so many ways, and clutch was is one of them.
