I feel like they beat the warriors because they just came off an extremely tough team (the spurs) whilst warriors just veat the blazers so the warriors arent as fired up and ready to take on tough competition.
Spurs came off a weak team in the first round as well and thunder came from the mavs who played really well.
Perhaps this is the reason lebron keeps getting crushed in the finals because his previous fight is ronda rousey and his up coming opponent is jon jones.
The 2 finals that he actually won he was pushed by the pacers i think it was?
Is this actually a thing. Over coming tough opponents elevates your game for the next series??
It could also explain warriors struggles against lebron in the finals last year without kyrie and k love. The warriors cakewalked past the rockets

yea. and okc has underrated experience. those guys have been in these huge games a ton. i doubt they'll even get complacent with how well they've done this postseason.

True, a win like that against Spurs builds character and makes the team come together, you can see it in how Adams is now being his own man and getting a lot more touches.

I just love how people are speaking of the thunder in the playoffs as if uts still 2012. Its been 4 years since lebron and kd squared off.

Spurs were too old to deal with OKC's athleticism and young legs and LaMarcus/Kawhi were wildly inconsistent and sometimes nonexistent in 4th quarters. Tonight the Warriors stupidly went small and the Thunder killed them on the boards in the second half, which allowed them to get over a terrible performance by KD. They also took some terrible, rushed 3-pt shots instead of working for better looks. They are way too reliant on the 3.

Rest
After the all star break, Thunder coasted to the end of the season, Russ and KD had plenty of rest while Spurs and Warriors were out chasing records.

No I think it was them playing on the court
Simply taking advantage of the small ball lineup
Neutralizing GS' strengths

The more games you play the better you get
Look at the 08 Celtics in the playoffs

Spurs were old during durants mvp season but they still crushed okc back then. So i dont think age really matters when it comes to those guys. Pop is too good.
