Its really too bad for CP3, I feel he may be cursed. There are only three teams that have never made it to Conference Finals. One of them is his former team, another is his current team, and the other one has the same name as his former team.

Only two Eastern Conference teams have failed to make the ECF in that same timeframe, the Hornets/Bobcats and Wizards

People will continue to blame Chris but he's been the only bright spot in the history of those franchises.

The 5 best seasons in Clippers history ('12-'16) and the best season in Hornets history ('08) were because of CP3.

Seriously.. when I just heard of this stat I thought this shit was crazy af... it is. I mean, how?!?! Dang, man. Not like he didnt have a couple cracks at it, though. I mean, he could have made it without having to go through SAS/OKC/GSW in '13 and '15, actually. But hard to blame him in '13.

the only team in the East not to make the CF is the hornets and they're technically related to cp3 too.

Wow that's crazy!!

I also find it surprising that in the last 17 postseasons 26/30 teams made the Conference Finals at least once. I went further and 29/30 teams made it past the first round with the only exception being the current Charlotte Hornets (previously Bobcats that only started in 2005). There is lots of parity in this NBA.

Not really. The last 10 years (11 barring a miracle) only 4 teams have won the East, while only 5 teams have won the West the past 17 years, soon to be 18

I didnt say I put it on him... but if someone does, one could make a case :confusedshrug:

he went pretty much scoreless shooting 0% during the Rockets' comeback stretch after being up 19... Im not saying I put it on him, but someone might.

This isn't as crazy as it seems. The Pelicans and Clippers are 2 of the worst franchises in NBA history.

Like I said earlier in this thread, in terms of putting together anything resembling a "winning" culture CP3 has been the only bright spot in both of their history.

Hell, look at this current season. The only thing that kept the Clippers from sinking after all the drama they went through...was CP3.

He was on 7 of their top 10 combined teams win % wise and 8 of their 18 combined playoff teams.

Those 8 playoff teams were either terrible or pretty good, but 2nd tier teams in the toughest conference in NBA history. Going into the playoffs, none of those teams were expected to get to the WCF except maybe the 2008 Hornets.

Now if you wanna say his teams should've won a few of those 7 game series go ahead but CP3 didn't underperform in either of them.

Like I said, give me Tony Parker every day of the week and twice on Sundays.Parker is only "better" than CP3 because of the Spurs.

Put him on a team like the Hornets/Pelicans and he doesn't sniff all those rings. He wouldn't even have made the playoffs with some of Paul's teams.

The Timberwolves and Kings never went to the WCF during that time span either.

I don't even think they made the playoffs.

At least the Pelicans and Clippers made the playoffs multiple times and won multiple playoff games and series...which wouldn't have been possible without Paul's prescence.

The Blazers also didn't made it to the WCF during that time period.

The 2008 Hornets alone were more successful than any single season team from those franchises since 2005.

It was 2006 when they made the 8th seed. I still remember how weird that team was built. Bonzi Wells, Mike Bibby, Ron Artest, Brad Miller, and a young Kevin Martin... Peja got traded that year to the Pacers.
