starting in his 5th season.

it's probably good to remember what was required (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=406920) for 6/6 perfection with Pippen, and use that perspective to properly assess what the ball-dominant (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=385841) Lebron's potential with Pippen could be.

Lebron and Pip with the right supporting cast wins a few, definitely not close to a perfect finals record. One thing though, Lebron was a better offensive version of Pip but otherwise similar skillsets make the pairing somewhat redundant. MJ and Pip complemented each other much better. I'm saying all this if we're assuming that Pip is the same player in this hypothetical situation that he was with MJ. If so, I can see prime Lebron winning in 91,93, 96 at least.

But then, if Lebron loses to Detroit for 3 consecutive years, does he leave?

Probably 3/6 at this point

It's hard to say, because Pippen was such a willing learner and learned so much from MJ. Some of the subtleties of his moves are so MJ. So it's hard to say what kind of a player he would be with Lebron being the leader. His game is so different than Jordan's.

All we know for sure is that his fans would complain that Lebron doesn't have enough help.

LeBron* would then play the Pippen role.

A team with the two best all around players, best player in the league (lebron), and best two way player and perimeter defender in the league (Pippen) is going to get some winning done.

Replace Pete Myers with a prime Lebron in the 93-94 and 94-95 seasons, and the Bulls go 70+ wins in '93-94, and perhaps unbeaten in the post-season, en route to an easy title; and likely 60+ wins in the '94-95 season, and probably another title. Lebron would be asked to be a PF on the '95 team, since Grant would be gone (should be HOFer Grant BTW.)
