Hornacek, 53, holds a career record of 101–112 in 213 games as a head coach, all with Phoenix. He was tied to other jobs including the Magic, Rockets and Grizzlies, in addition to the Warriors’ assistant coach opening vacated by outgoing Luke Walton. He served as an assistant with the Jazz from 2010 to 2013.

The Knicks went 32–50 last season, finishing 13th out of 15 teams in the Eastern Conference.

I've seen enough.

Knicks will continue to suck until Phil realizes you can't run the triangle successfully without all time great players like Kobe, Jordan, Pippen or Disel

Would he even be willing to run the triangle? If not should've definitely tried for someone like Vogel.

Interesting.

It's hard to judge his skills since his time in PHX was tainted by malcontents in the locker room, I like his approach to the game and he's a chill dude but his rotations were questionable at times, waiting until its too late to make a move happened too often near the end of his last tenure.

His daughter is hot too, that's always a bonus

Good hire Knicks :applause: , if Phil actually lets him run his offense Knicks will at least make the playoffs this year as long as they do ok in free agency.

Yeah, with another year of Porzingis development and some motion in the offense, they should be a 6-8 seed for sure. This move is not sexy at all...but not bad. Phil is gonna ride off with all that cash and nothing to show for it real soon...

I think hes an ok coach. But Morris did him in. Losing the locker room was the reason he had to go. Also not really good at running plays in close game situations.

Totally random hire. I hadn't even heard that Phil interviewed him.

He lost the locker room over there what about now? Did Melo have a say? Is Phil forcing Melo out purposely?

Horny never lost the team, management lost the team.

I was higher on Vogul or Blatt, but this might turn out to be a good hire.

Really couldn't wait any longer for Phil to make a move. I hope it works out, because this team has wasted too many years trying to be relevant already.
