Under Blatt, EVERYONE was saying that Lebron, Love and Kyrie couldn't play together, and Love was just a 3 point shooting roleplayer.
Well, it seems like Lue has figured out how to get them all to play well together. He also has JR Smith, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving all playing a high level of defense. The Cavs offense also broke the team 3 point record against the highest rated perimeter defense in the NBA.
Tyronn Lue is actually an incredible coach.

Tyrone is a legend
Put some respeck on his name
Is it really the coach? Sometimes I wonder, because the players need to be willing enough to play good. Willing to play with chemistry. Willing to make sacrifices to try new things. Open to new ideas when failing. Is it really the coach?

They have the highest payroll in the league by far and they are the most stacked team in the league by far.
WTF does a coach matter?

Not sure if he is great but I think Blatt was ineffective. Doesn't matter who the coach is if the star player blatantly disrespects the headcoach. Blatt had no chance to coach this team.

They're actually running Blatt's motion offense now, Lue said in a presser a couple weeks ago that he's been forcing it on them. They were playing garbage isoball for a huge chunk of the season under Lue, the difference now is that Lue told Lebron to shut the f*ck up and shoved Blatt's offense down everyone's throats.

Really sad Blatt was pushed out and Lue just gets to step in and get all the credit.

He's surprised me. I didn't think he'd do this good of a job. The offense looks great. Love, Irving and James are all involved. There's a great flow to the offense and the idea to have Kyrie as the main scorer is paying off

It honestly is, Blatt had the Cavs doing this same shit last season after they made those trades, they were absolutely wrecking the league, and then Love and Kyrie go down. And what does he do? He on the fly builds one of the nastiest defenses in the league and suffocates the Warriors in the finals with a bunch of spare parts. Now the Cavs are fully healthy with yet another weapon in Frye, with Lue explicitly saying their offense is now running most of Blatt's motion sets...and all we hear is Lue>Blatt, when they were running isoball crap and underachieving for a huge chunk of the year after Blatt was fired.
tyronn is gangsta.
he told lebron, "check yo-self, son. i'm the coach, so sit yo ass down."
those weren't his exact words, but that's what he basically gave him in front of the whole team.
you establish the chain of command by demonstrating authority.
blatt was too beta to ever do that. no one on the team respected him because they knew he was only lebron's b!tch.

It doesn't matter how brilliant your strategy is if you aren't able to organize your troops and convince them to follow it.
Lue should have been head coach and Blatt should have been an assistant coach.

That's fair, props to Lue for not taking shit from Lebron. But if we're going to give Lue credit for the Cavs offense, it's only fair to point out where it came from.

Lue isn't a coaches asshole.
He's certainly no David Blatt, who took them to finals last season with no Love.

I doubt that exchange ever happened.
