Never has the need for the cane been more evident. The young and ignorant won't show deference and respect for their elders unless they are compelled to do so. Authority has been entirely undermined, filial and social. The consequence (in the end) can only be chaos. All this indulgence of personality, the obsession with personal "fulfillment" and aspiring to "be who you are/can be" (e.g. Freudian and post-Freudian psychoanalytic claptrap) as if there was some grand marker of complete personhood that we're all progressing towards, and that we're all precious little creatures who will reach out potentials as long as everyone is nice enough (as long as we water the precious little flower enough, and don't hurt its precious feelings). It's the "be all that you can be" crowd; obviously they become dissatisfied when they realise they can't be shit, especially if they spend their lives hanging out on the streets, engaged in this kind of mindless campaigning, when they could be using the limited time they have to engage in something useful like actually educating themselves.

It's not these kids' fault. The public schools are a disaster. These kids have never had a teacher that taught them how markets works. The small amount of private school educated kids who actually get to learn how an economy functions are mostly the only ones who are able to succeed.

Expecting these public school kids to succeed in the market is like expecting someone to succeed in a game of chess who has never been explained how it's played.

These kids are being intentionally left out to keep the pool of potential high income earners is small. Don't kid yourself. There are people who want no competition in the upper echelon. It's why you see the same hacks around for decades moving from one high position to another, collecting golden parachutes at every stop. Average people need to realize that the left isn't their friend. In every western country, the left wing party is the party of incestuous elitism. They're not for the working people. They're for their little aristocracy.
