Get his team mates 100 percent comfortable and 100 percent pumped by facilitating and getting everyone involved. Obviously he is able to comfortably work this stradegy due to d league type competition. He doesnt have to do anything drastic thus giving himself plenty of rest stepping into the finals with no fatigue.
