He's playing off-ball with quick post ups

LeBron Ball is officially a myth created by Kobetards as a way to diminish Bron

He finally stops playing that style and his team is undefeated.

Gee looks like we've been right this entire time.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Imagine how much better his career would look if he actually played this way for his entire career, trusting your teammates is how it works, glad it only took him 13 years to realize that

He's always played this way, even in Miami when he was a using high post ups and catch and shoot 3's.

LeBron Ball has always been a myth

He'd have been 3/4, possibly 4/4 in Miami.

Finally seems to have figured it out though. Maybe his 30+ y/o career will push him up further.

His team was also undefeated last year when Love and Kyrie weren't injured.

They have played multiple competitve games these playoffs. I think 3 of the 4 games against Pistons were very close. Hawks series also had close games.

Shit, got more than one bran guy turning on me.

If Lebron played like this in 2011 the heat win. Obviously...

Maybe he doesn't win FMVP but Wade was an absolute superstar and there's no shame in having him win one. He'd still win it in 2012 and 2013.

The Spurs shat on the game of basketball in general in the 2014 finals. Played an absurd series. Not a whole lot bron could have done there. But he could have allowed a better rhythm to be had. Who knows tho...SA was stupid

Which is why he looked clueless during most of the finals. He wasn't used to not making every decision on offense and playing off ball.

if he would have taken the role he's playing now, they sweep the mavs.

Whats Kobes excuse for getting swept by that Mavs team averaging 23/3/2 (worse stats than LeBron)?

23 ppg is far better than 17 ppg.. that's the excuse

btw, i'm sure you notice that lebron is only averaging 23 ppg as an off-ball player - that's how we know the Cavs would be FAR better with Jordan, since he averaged 33.5 ppg as an off-ball player.

it's lebron's off-ball play that has allowed all-star-caliber teammates to play to full capacity alongside him for the first time in their careers - but again, he's only capable of 23 ppg as an off-ball player, so we know MJ's 33 ppg would make the Cavs that much better - when MJ got his 33 ppg, Pippen and Horace played to full capacity alongside him (compared to their stats without him).

I love that instead of actually discussing the topic, you'd rather just deflect to Kobe.

He hurt his ankle in game 4 against the hornets and wasn't the same in the playoffs after that, his knee was still messed up and he went to Germany over the summer to get that secret surgery. As to why the team was swept? Dallas caught fire at a ridiculous level and were their top 3 scorers were hitting 50+% of their threes Pau was having relationship problems and there were some locker room issues because of that.. He put up a pathetic 12ppg on 47% TS, Bynum played like a bum.

Now can we get back to the actual topic?

He didn't do anything in the 2011 finals.

That's the point. He either dominated the ball or did nothing. Now he's found the perfect medium to where he's doing everything without dominating the ball.

Won 2 championships

Those 2 rings were achieved with teammates playing under capacity alongside him, due to his ball-dominant style.

people don't realize that the Heat's abundance of talent OVERCAME Lebron's suboptimal style.. anytime your 3rd option is a 10-time all-star (Bosh) and your 4th option is the 2nd greatest shooter of all-time (rayray), your team is utterly stacked (which is why he won a ring in 2013 by only averaging 25 ppg on 44%).

in these playoffs, lebron's off-ball play has allowed all-star-caliber teammates to play to full capacity alongside him for the first time in their careers.. However, he's only capable of 23 ppg as an off-ball player - otoh, MJ was a far superior off-ball player who averaged 33.5 ppg in the playoffs, so the Cavs would be far better with his 10 additional points - when MJ got his 33 ppg for the Bulls, Pippen and Horace played to full capacity alongside him (compared to their stats without him).
