Nope
Kobe wasn't a rim protector
He didn't routinely stand in the middle of the court and block bigmen like this
http://assets.sbnation.com/assets/2788767/leduncanblock.gif
He was a roamer out on the perimeter
LeBron also does that, but he also can be a rim protector, playing the bigman position on defense

There is nothing that emphasizes a rim protecting play more than a one on one block at the rim against a bigman
LeBron has Rim Protector ability
Wade did as well

A play is not as valuable as someone you know you can leave in the middle and know that he will be altering shots all game.
He's not a protector. He just has fancy blocks as a weakside blocker.
Gobert/Howard/Jordan/Whiteside/Davis - those are rim protectors.
Just stop with your obsessing and spamming of the boards with this stuff. You don't need to post four lebron topics a day to get your point across.

OK, he has ability. I have the ability to make a 3pt shot. Doesn't make me Best in the World Steph Curry.
And link to your proof. Too many times you claim all these numbers with no proof.
I say lebron played 78% of his time at PG during the playoffs last year. See how easy that was?

Look it up
LeBron blocks some of the best bigmen in the game
That's elite status rim protection
He's a two time DPOY runner up

That's because his elite rim protector ability is only one small part of his overall GOAT tier defensive game
He defends 1-5 elite

No. Link it up. I'm not doing YOUR "research".
You claim this, so back it up.
He blocks these guys on weakside blocks after their primary defender has gotten lost on pnr. Hell, half the gifs you posted have the big man mishandling the ball on the way up and not even jumping to their full ability.
He's a runner up. I know. He's the GOAT at that. You want to call him a rim protector, so what is Kawhi? He's an actual winner of the DPOY twice.

Come on ISB. Stop spewing numbers out to make your hero look better unless they're actually true.

Just look at Game 3 of the Finals. He brought the ball up and ran the offense like a point guard. He nailed a catch-and-shoot 3-pointer from the corner like a shooting guard. He took his man off the dribble from the perimeter to the basket like a small forward. He lived in the paint, set screens and rolled to the rim for buckets like a power forward. And he voluntarily defended Oklahoma City's Kendrick Perkins on the block like a center.
Heading into Game 4, James is averaging 30.7 points and 9.7 rebounds in the playoffs. Here’s the list of players who have averaged at least 30.7 points and 9.7 boards in a postseason during the modern era:
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Shaquille O’Neal. Hakeem Olajuwon.
That’s it. That’s the list. Three of the all-time great centers.
As hard as it is to believe, those are James’ peers now, statistically. James entered the league as a point guard, and nine years later he’s putting up numbers of Hall of Fame centers. Throw in the fact that James also has averaged five assists per game and the list of players who have averaged 30-10-5 during the playoffs in modern times shrinks to one. Just James.
His numbers are remarkable as are, but consider that since the Indiana series, James has averaged 31.6 points and 10.8 rebounds. That’s no coincidence. Chris Bosh, Miami's power forward, went down with an abdominal injury in the opening game against Indiana.

After the ASB, Giannis was the point guard on offense and the rim protector on defense. Pretty much point center.
Averaged 19/9/7 and Bucks had like a 110 efficiency with him as the main ballhandler. And he was 10th in the league at protecting within 6 feet of the rim (min 4 attempts and 60 games), ahead of guys like Noel, Adams, Davis, KAT, Drummond, Dwight, etc.
