I can't recall a worse conference finals team.

It'd be interesting to delve into.

Maybe go back 20 years.

They would've made the conference finals even if they were in the West.

Think about that, Justin....

The 2015 injured hawks and imploding 2014 pacers deserve mentions imo

The east is pathetic. Cavs have no competition which may bite them in the butt in the finals

So Bran has literally played the three worst conference finals teams in NBA history.

Or help them because they will be so well rested.

you could be right but as a team i rather play a battle tested team as they may get surprised with the level of basketball from one of the west teams. If i were the cavs i would rather lose 1 game against the raps. get it out there

When the two best players on the team are doing this, then yes.

Lowry is currently putting up 17ppg on 35%, 46% TS. 14 Per with a .048 Win share

Derozen is putting up 20ppg on 37%, 43% TS. 12 PER, with a -0.015 win share.

Shitty teams sneak in when some upstart teams knocks off a contender now and then. Happened all the time in the west when I was a kid. Rockets made the finals with like 40 wins and I think they played a 40 or so win Kings team(Kansas city kings perhaps) led by Otis Birdsong(you dont know who that is) in the WCF. I think Magic was coming off an inury that year and not himself in the playoffs. Later the 39ish win Sonics made the WCF to pretty much laydown for the Lakers.

Lot of those early 2000 east teams were kinda weak.

The Knicks in 99 not only made the ECF but the NBA finals as an 8th seed without Ewing. Once they knocked off the Heat it was over.

Most likely even though all they need to do to change the narrative is take a game off the Cavs(up 15 right now). Most recent weak team in the West was the 2013 Grizzlies. Took advantage of two injured teams and got swept by the Spurs. No one on that team even played that well in the playoffs on offense (Gasol 53ts% conley 50ts% zach 51ts%)

Better than the Lakers opponents in the 2000-2002 NBA Finals.

The past two seasons, the conference finals competition vs Cleveland is by far the worst I've ever seen. This Raptor team takes the cake though for sure.

They are on the verge of beating the cavs. something the 60+ win hawks didn't do last year :facepalm

this isn't that different from saying that about the 03 Pistons after the playoffs that year. We all know how great they turned out. The Raptors could've been a fluke this year but they could also be good for awhile and do better in the playoffs when they get another opportunity.

No ****ing way, this team is showing some heart.

If you gave 3 hearts to the 2016 rockets you'd be lucky if 1 was working.
