Obviously, the NBA finally realized these kind of adds can be like how Nascar makes money, since it's common place for European football (soccer) and basketball clubs to do so. There is no reason for them to just let that money source go. It is a huge financial benefit to European clubs, so it makes perfect sense for the NBA to do the same.

And NBA arenas are already named after sponsors, and the league already has a name sponsor also, as it is NBA officially, but BBVA NBA in sponsorship name. So it's not like the NBA has not already been doing this.

I've never heard someone involved in both rivalries say Red Star vs. Partizan was more intense. They always say nothing compares to Olympiacos and Panathinaikos. The Reds won the best-of-five finals series 3-1. Spanoulis finished with 25 points and 6 assists,
while Othello Hunter added 14 points and 7 rebounds, and Vangelis Mantzaris scored 13,
including a game-tying triple at the end of the first overtime. The Reds dominated early,
and led 2-13 midway through the first quarter, but Panathinaikos fought back and used an 8-0
second-quarter run to take the lead, which stood at 35-31 at halftime.

Spanoulis hit a pair of three-pointers, as Olympiacos regained the lead in the third quarter.
Hunter also scored twice in the 2-14 run, as Olympiacos went up 39-50. Nikos Pappas heated up,
as Panathinaikos reeled off 11 straight points to even the score, before Hunter made it 50-52
at the end of the third quarter.

The fourth quarter featured four ties, the last when James Gist split free throws with 1:18 remaining
to make it 63-63. After neither team scored in the final minute of regulation, the game headed to overtime.

The lead changed hands on four consecutive possessions, the last of which was a Nick Calathes triple,
for a 70-68 lead with less than a minute on the clock. But after Antonis Fotsis split free throws,
Mantzaris nailed a three with 3 seconds left in overtime to tie it at 71-71 and force a second overtime.

Gist scored on Panathinaikos’ first three possessions of the second overtime, but the Reds stayed close
until the final possession, when Spanoulis’ three-pointer won the game, series, and title.
Nikos Pappas led Panathinaikos with 16 points, and Dimitris Diamantidis, in what may be his last game ever
